B&W Society of Sound Giveaway
The B&W Society of Sound, formerly known as the B&W Music Club, has been very popular with Computer Audiophile readers who've signed up for memberships. I was hooked from the moment I signed up. In fact a rather funny series of posts about the experience can be read here. The forum post details my reluctance to join followed by my exuberance after joining and realizing how special it is. My exact words were, "This really is a complete experience with the video interviews etc... It feels like luxury music purchasing." Read more for information about the Society of Sound and a chance to win a free membership courtesy of B&W!

Music lovers like myself are always searching for different artists to listen to and places to purchase music. One great place is the B&W Society of Sound. The SoS offers one album per month for subscribing members. The downloads are available in Apple Lossless, 16-bit FLAC, and 24-bit FLAC. In addition to the great sonic quality of the downloads is the great quality of the musical performances. This is not your standard Audiophile music where great quality and great music are polar opposites.
In the last several months the Society of Sound opened up the back catalog of previous releases for all members to download. This worked out fabulous for me and a couple other Computer Audiophile readers. We joined the club after the first few releases and at that time only the current month's release was available for downloading. When the flood gates opened I had my high speed Internet connection maxed out while I downloaded all the releases I had missed. New readers thinking about joining should consider this, subscribing now allows you access to many albums all at once and all in lossless quality. It really is a cool concept. Completing the whole luxary music purchasing experience is all the videos involving the artists and those involved in the recording of each album etc... This is really how all music should be released in my opinion. Lossless downloads and tons of extra content online. A music lovers paradise if you ask me.
Now the details everyone has been reading the article for. B&W is giving away Society of Sound memberships to five lucky Computer Audiophile readers. To enter the contest you must answer the following question and send an email to [email protected] with BWSOS in the subject line.
Question:
Which pop legend curates B&W Society of Sound?
(Hint - He once called MTV asking them to stop playing one of his videos. The video was aired so much it holds the record for most played music video of all time.
