I have purchased these Dali Opticon 6 loudspeakers a bit more than a month ago and they sound breathtaking. However I have noticed that I cannot hear any sound coming out of the top part of the hybrid tweeter (the ribbon). I do hear sound from the soft dome tweeter. According to the specifications from Dali from their website about the ribbon tweeter: So I thought it might be because I just don't play music in these high ranges. Or it might be because my crappy receiver; an Onkyo TX-SR606 which doesn't operate at 4 Ohm. I know this the next investment I need to make. When I hear very close separating the soft dome and the ribbon tweeter with my hands than these ribbons are completely silent. Do you experience the same thing? How can I test this using a test file operating at higher frequencies? Any suggestions are welcome, also a bit of technical background for me to understand.

Hi guys, My current audio setup is as follows: DALI Rubicon 6 speakers connected to a Onkyo TX-SR606 receiver. I wanted to replace my current receiver and today it just broke. It didn't startup anymore. So I am looking for a new stereo Amplifier. A while ago I listened to the NAD C388 and I loved it linked to my pair of speakers. However today my local distributor sells a NAD M22 (probably because of the v2 upgrade) and it was a demo unit. It cost a bit over 400€ more than the C388. Normal price of the M22 is almost 3500€, now they sell the unit for 1999€. It looks brand new and you get 5 years of warranty. Unfortunately I didn't had the change yet to hear the difference between the M22 and the C388. So my question to you is: what would you do? Buy the C388 which is already a huge step up for me compared to my Onkyo. Buy the M22 which is a bit stretched for me at the moment. But if it is worth it, I am willing to invest. I won't also purchase the M12. Is the M22 (without the M12) that much better? And will I be able to hear it on the Rubicon's? I already liked their sound on the Onkyo's Any other specs or features missing on one of the other unit? I am not sure if the M22 has a headphone jack. edit Well reading through the specs brought me already to the following: I didn't notice a lot of inputs on the M22. Most probably as it is expected to be used with the M12. Obviously the C388 does have all what you expect. Sorry guys, but I am a newbee to this matter. As I am using an external bluesound Node 2 could I connect this to the M22?

Hi all, I am about the invest some money into a new audio setup for my recently bought house. After listening to several brands and components I how decided to go for the Dali Rubicon series which will be feeded by Marantz PM8005 and NA6005. Not purchased yet. For this I would like to have some thoughts from you guys as the possible speaker setup is somewhat unconventional or even problematic. The old owner has installed the necessary speaker wires through the walls in our new 45 m2 living room. When standing exactly in the middle of this room one cable is in the front wall on the right side where the other cable is on the back wall on the left side. I can imagine this is not very good for overall sound quality or stereo. It would be better of both the cables would be installed in the same wall (left and right) which isn't the case. The distance between the loudspeakers in the opposite walls would be a 6 to 7 meters (20 foot). For the on wall loudspeakers I was thinking to purchase the Dali Rubicon LCR. They are a good fit but I have my doubts on the current setup and if they can fill the size of the room.
