The only thing these discussions accomplish is that they take someone who has made reasonable efforts at learning a subject and plunge them into a morass of senseless arguing that rather than raising the standard of knowledge buries it in senseless uninformed opinionated posting. If I didn’t have 6 plus years on this site of knowing who speakers with sense and authority over and over again, I’d be hopelessly lost and just walk away. Sadly many topics on the site have sunk into this same pattern. There have been several times that I have as you said just walked away for a while. I have hope that it will turn around.
