DigitallyChallenged Posted August 28, 2010 Share Posted August 28, 2010 I am setting up a mac mini server to store my music. There are two 500 gig drives. While talking with an applecare network support tech he recommended leaving the OS on one drive and then using the second drive to store the music instead of using drive two as a raid drive. His point is that performance would be much better and that I should just use an external backup to protect my data. He's the expert but I wanted to get some opinions here about that strategy.
