spinaltap
Currently, I utilise the EDO applet on my Squeezebox Touch to output hi-res music files to my Meridian Director (music files are stored on my ReadyNAS NV+v2). Alternatively, I want to investigate the possibility of streaming music from my 2012 Mac Mini (located at the other end of my house from my audio system) to a Meridian MS200 (network audio endpoint) that will be connected to my audio system. I want to explore alternatives to using Roon on my Mac Mini for this purpose. I appreciate that I could choose to buy an Intel QNAP (with Meridian MDMS plugin) to feed an MS200. However, my question: is it possible to use programs such as PureMusic, Amarra, or Audirvana, for example, to stream music content between my Mac Mini and a Meridian MS200 over my home network? My Mac can go all the way to OSXI Link to comment
Audio_ELF
The MS200 is limited to being used in a Sooloos system (the Meridian MDMS is part of the Sooloos system) or with Roon - if you didn't know Roon is produced by the original developers of Sooloos. Eloise --- ...in my opinion / experience... While I agree "Everything may matter" working out what actually affects the sound is a trickier thing. And I agree "Trust your ears" but equally don't allow them to fool you - trust them with a bit of skepticism. keep your mind open... But mind your brain doesn't fall out. Link to comment
