Hi there. I've got a Piano 2.1 + Kali + Sparky combo from Allo; I'm using DietPi (currently installed version is v6.25.3). I know how to set the "DacPlus" in dietpi-justboom, but I don't know how to enable kali (with the dtoverlay thing normally, passing glb_mclk to the boot process). Thanks!

PROBLEM: After setting up my Piano 2.1, I get sound out of my subwoofer in Dual-Stereo, Dual-Mono, or Subwoofer 2.0 modes, but no sound out of my L or R analog outputs under any circumstances. DETAILS: I have a Piano 2.1, and I have its dtoverlay enabled in /boot/config.txt. I also have the system audio turned off with dtparam=audio=off. I get this output from aplay -l: **** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices **** card 0: PianoDACPlus [PianoDACPlus], device 0: PianoDACPlus multicodec-0 [] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 When I play audio using aplay, mplayer, or even speaker-test, I only get output from my subwoofer. I've tried two different speakers on the regular analog outputs, neither with any result, then confirmed that they were working by connecting them to a hifiberry on a separate raspberry pi. Here's the output of my amixer, in case it's helpful: Simple mixer control 'Master',0 Capabilities: pvolume pswitch Playback channels: Front Left - Front Right Limits: Playback 0 - 207 Mono: Front Left: Playback 165 [80%] [-21.00dB] [off] Front Right: Playback 165 [80%] [-21.00dB] [off] Simple mixer control 'DSP Program',0 Capabilities: enum Items: 'FIR interpolation with de-emphasis' 'Low latency IIR with de-emphasis' 'High attenuation with de-emphasis' 'Fixed process flow' 'Ringing-less low latency FIR' Item0: 'FIR interpolation with de-emphasis' Simple mixer control 'Analogue',0 Capabilities: pvolume Playback channels: Front Left - Front Right Limits: Playback 0 - 1 Mono: Front Left: Playback 1 [100%] [0.00dB] Front Right: Playback 1 [100%] [0.00dB] Simple mixer control 'Analogue Playback Boost',0 Capabilities: volume Playback channels: Front Left - Front Right Capture channels: Front Left - Front Right Limits: 0 - 1 Front Left: 0 [0%] [0.00dB] Front Right: 0 [0%] [0.00dB] Simple mixer control 'Auto Mute',0 Capabilities: pswitch Playback channels: Front Left - Front Right Mono: Front Left: Playback [on] Front Right: Playback [on] Simple mixer control 'Auto Mute Mono',0 Capabilities: pswitch pswitch-joined Playback channels: Mono Mono: Playback [on] Simple mixer control 'Auto Mute Time Left',0 Capabilities: enum Items: '21ms' '106ms' '213ms' '533ms' '1.07s' '2.13s' '5.33s' '10.66s' Item0: '21ms' Simple mixer control 'Auto Mute Time Right',0 Capabilities: enum Items: '21ms' '106ms' '213ms' '533ms' '1.07s' '2.13s' '5.33s' '10.66s' Item0: '21ms' Simple mixer control 'Clock Missing Period',0 Capabilities: enum Items: '1s' '2s' '3s' '4s' '5s' '6s' '7s' '8s' Item0: '2s' Simple mixer control 'Deemphasis',0 Capabilities: pswitch pswitch-joined Playback channels: Mono Mono: Playback [on] Simple mixer control 'Digital',0 Capabilities: pvolume pswitch Playback channels: Front Left - Front Right Limits: Playback 0 - 207 Mono: Front Left: Playback 165 [80%] [-21.00dB] [on] Front Right: Playback 165 [80%] [-21.00dB] [on] Simple mixer control 'Dual Mode',0 Capabilities: enum Items: 'None' 'Dual-Mono' 'Dual-Stereo' Item0: 'Dual-Stereo' Simple mixer control 'Lowpass',0 Capabilities: enum Items: '60' '70' '80' '90' '100' '110' '120' '130' '140' '150' '160' '170' '180' '190' '200' Item0: '60' Simple mixer control 'Max Overclock DAC',0 Capabilities: volume volume-joined Playback channels: Mono Capture channels: Mono Limits: 0 - 40 Mono: 0 [0%] Simple mixer control 'Max Overclock DSP',0 Capabilities: volume volume-joined Playback channels: Mono Capture channels: Mono Limits: 0 - 40 Mono: 0 [0%] Simple mixer control 'Max Overclock PLL',0 Capabilities: volume volume-joined Playback channels: Mono Capture channels: Mono Limits: 0 - 20 Mono: 0 [0%] Simple mixer control 'Subwoofer',0 Capabilities: pvolume pswitch Playback channels: Front Left - Front Right Limits: Playback 0 - 207 Mono: Front Left: Playback 165 [80%] [-21.00dB] [off] Front Right: Playback 165 [80%] [-21.00dB] [off] Simple mixer control 'Subwoofer mode',0 Capabilities: enum Items: 'None' '2.0' '2.1' '2.2' Item0: 'None' Simple mixer control 'Volume Ramp Down Emergency Rate',0 Capabilities: enum Items: '1 sample/update' '2 samples/update' '4 samples/update' 'Immediate' Item0: '1 sample/update' Simple mixer control 'Volume Ramp Down Emergency Step',0 Capabilities: enum Items: '4dB/step' '2dB/step' '1dB/step' '0.5dB/step' Item0: '4dB/step' Simple mixer control 'Volume Ramp Down Rate',0 Capabilities: enum Items: '1 sample/update' '2 samples/update' '4 samples/update' 'Immediate' Item0: '1 sample/update' Simple mixer control 'Volume Ramp Down Step',0 Capabilities: enum Items: '4dB/step' '2dB/step' '1dB/step' '0.5dB/step' Item0: '1dB/step' Simple mixer control 'Volume Ramp Up Rate',0 Capabilities: enum Items: '1 sample/update' '2 samples/update' '4 samples/update' 'Immediate' Item0: '1 sample/update' Simple mixer control 'Volume Ramp Up Step',0 Capabilities: enum Items: '4dB/step' '2dB/step' '1dB/step' '0.5dB/step' Item0: '1dB/step' Do you have any idea what might be happening? Pretty much what the title says. As soon as I plug it in all the lights start flashing I immediately unplugged it. Any ideas? What am I missing or did I get a faulty power supply? Thanks!

Hi, I’m trying to see if I can use the Piano 2.1 DAC in Dual Mono mode, but only one DAC is active when I select Dual Mono or Dual Stereo, the other DAC is quite. If I use 2.1 mode, both DACs work, but in mono I only get one channel. In dual stereo I can get two channels on one side, but the “subwoofer” side is quiet. anything I’m missing when setting this up? thank you

Hi there; I've recently purchased a bundle featuring a Sparky, Kali, Piano2.1, and accessories. I see that there are some features on the Sparky board that aren't documented anyplace I can find: a battery hookup (with a blinking red light?!) some volume switches, an IR sensor... I'm building an audio player pc, have lots of experience with Linux and Debian, and am interested in whether I might be able to use these features. Can someone from Allo help me out?

Hi, I have recently setup the BOSS DAC v1.2 the output to my speaker via an external "Volt+ with Stepped Attenuator". I am planning to buy another "Kali + Piano 2.1" bundle when it become available again just to have another taste of the output quality. However, i was wondering if I can plug the BOSS DAC with the "Kali + Piano 2.1" bundle into the same Pi4 via a GPIO expansion board as attached. The playback option will be selected using the Volumio software. I would prefer to have this kind of setup so that i don't have to use 2 Pi Board. Thank you for the advice.
