I currently using a reasonably new Windows 10 Intel i5 HP 'all in one' type computer, which is basically lap top spec components shoved behind a rather nice 24" screen. OK, not the best machine for computer audio by a very long way, but for a variety of reasons it is what I will need to use for a while. The PC is used to run Roon core, streaming via hard wired Ethernet to a microRendu / Mutec MC3+USB. The PC has an external power supply 'brick' that delivers DV voltage to the PC. So it would be very easy to replace the supplied power supply with a decent quality LPSU.

Every PSU kicks some noise back into the AC line, which may have an influence on the rest of your gear connected to the same AC line. I still remember a review written by Martin Colloms of some gear using onboard SMPS, where he claimed that simply connecting said component (otherwise not connected to the system) to AC line, made his system sound considerably worse. So how bad is the problem ? Having bought a wideband AlphaLab EMI Power Line Noise Meter I decided check that out on various PSUs I had on hand. The setup To get a reference/base noise level

Hi guys, I was hoping you could comment on this. Researching for my build of a music server, I saw that the Lampizator Komputer/SuperKomputer has an internal LPSU (see image). Would you recommend this for a DIY server? If so, coud you recommend any LPSU that could do this? Thanks a lot!

Hello all, I think I've read lots of tips here, about how to get the better sound from your SSD/HDD/SD card or other internal/external storage device (FW and Thunderbolt : good, USB : garbage...), but did anyone tried to connect his SSD/HDD to the internal PCI-e or mini PCI-e output of the Mobo ? I read that the reason why Mac Mini's did sound quite good with the Thunderbolt external disks was because it was powered from a mini PCI-e bus (?). I have a mini PCI-e output I don't use on my HDplex PC mobo (I removed the wifi card who was there...). Do you think I could gain something w

Hi! I have read quite a bit on those replacing ethernet switch PSU's with higher quality and lower noise versions. I did some A/B tests and could hear a small sonic benefit from moving my audio streaming from Tidal and Spotify from an intermediate Gigabit 8 port switch to direct into the ethernet ports on my DSL router (Sky SR 102). I found this video where a YouTuber suggests screening the onboard switch mode PSU and also boosting the range with external antenna.. I am wondering whether to mod this router with a linear 5v dc PSU.. Anyone experime
