I'm successfully running the Allo Katana V1.2 Player with "Sound Quality Output Stage" option: mounted on RPIB+; a stock 5.1V DC 2.5A USB Micro-B) supply to the RPI; an "audio" 5V 3A USB-C supply to the Katana MC. Compared to the Allo Boss, which I enjoyed very much, I hear much more detail. I'd like to make an upgrade to this setup, and it seems I have at least a couple of choices: install Allo's I2S Isolator; or improve one of the existing power supplies I'm using; or add a 3rd high-quality audio supply. Which of these options (or another, if I haven't considered it here), would yield the most benefit? If it's a new power supply, I would be grateful to be provided with links to an existing product. Thanks! Michael

Hi guys, does Katana support RPI4? Also, do you plan to create acrilic cases for RPI4 setup? Thanks in advance!

Dear support, My Katana is producing no sound anymore, All indicator lights act as if everything is OK. There were no changes made to the setup. Volumio was updated to the latest version a couple of weeks ago. I use a power setup with 3 psu,s. The on board +/-15v generator switch is ON. The blue B1715 capacitor on top of the microcontroller is warm. The PCB underneath the printed word "Controller" is getting real hot. The power measurement are off compared to https://github.com/sparkysbc/sparky_linux_images/blob/master/katana-Controller-V measure-points.pdf Any idea how to fix this? Details, pictures, etc on request

I set up my Katana in dual power mode, all jumper settings correct. I am using Volumio and Roon. I was able to play music for 2 minutes via shairport then had some 'swoosh' sounds and then nothing, not able to hear any sound. I triend to re-initiate everything, without sucess. -> Does this point to a hardware failure? If so which board is most likely affected? Lights on microcontroller and RPI are on and Roon does recognize the Katana so my guess would be that either the OpAmp fried (or maybe the micronctroller?) Also, I used a iFi iPurifier on the PSU to the microcontroller, the iPurifier dongle is rated 5-25v 3.5A so it should be able to function flawlessly, or could it be at fault?? The Power supply is the one sent with the Katana. Many thanks!!

Hi there, I received my Allo Katana 1.2 with Isolator. I am powering it with 2 PSU, one to the micro controller and the other to the Isolator as per the manual. I was able to hear audio through my system for the 1st couple days and there was no audio after that. I noticed that the micro controller board and the op amp boards were starting to warm up after about 10-15mins everytime the Katana was booted up. The Volumio web interface is working and I can browse my shared drive. Reading some of the other threads, I made some measurements of the micro controller board and have the following readings GND & +5v : 4.63v GND & 4.2v: 0.9v GND &+ 15v: 1.6v GND & -15v: 0.412v Please advise what are the next steps. Hello, first of all, I'd like to say i'm not fluent with english so please, try be comprehensive with me ? I have 2 questions. Both of them are related to my configuration which is based on : A Raspberry PI 3 B+ (1 board) An Isolator v1.2 card (1 board) A KATANA V1.2 DAC (3 board) That makes a 5 boards stacked in the selled by Allo acrylic Case. This config is powered by 2 external power (both 5V 3A : coming from Allo's website and bought with the Katana) : 1st one directly on the Isolator card (USB-C connector) 2nd one using USB-C connector on the card on top of the set-up (SparkOS Micro Controller) There is a 8GB sd Card on which I've installed Volumio. Volumio is reading audio files from a NFS share located on a NAS. I don't have issues to read FLAC files but I can't read AAC, SACD tracks inside ISO file, DSD tracks inside ISO file, DFF files. 1- Can you explain me how can I do that please ? I also realised that when I don't play any track, it's like if there were some "wind" in the room. I mean I can hear a noise which I don't hear if I switch my amplifier on another source (like CD player, turntable or TV). 2- Do I have to check or change anything to make it work normally ? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks a lot.
