Need help here. I m trying to install SOtM sCLK-48 as an upgrade to my existing tX-USBexp card. My case is an HDPlex H5s (1st gen), it's very similar to the Streacom F5. My motherboard is microATX size and I have one SSD in the case. The good old CAPS v3 Zuma setup. Is there anybody out there who has accomplished this? Comments? Recommendations? Any pics?

Hello everybody! 1st of all I have to introduce one of the best solutions all over the world to build your own Music Server - it's a HDPlex H5 computer case and ATX-compatible fantastic PSU which covers all you needs I think. I have to explain some moments before story begins. Some time ago I have used my ordinary home computer to listen my favorite music and setup was: PC with Sotm tX-USBexp USB PCI-E card connected to clock board sCLK-xxxx with Windows 10x64 I have used an hiFace Two - M2Tech (BNC) powered via D.I.Y. adapter from cheap China linear PSU. For that moment my DAC was Schiit Audio Gungnir Multibit and I was enjoyed quality of this setup at all. Than I moved to Audiobyte Hydra converter and plan was to upgrade power for Hydra and Sotm+clock. I have ordered THREE PSU at 2 cases - one 5V/5A for Hydra and second 2-in-1 was 9V/3A+9V/2A.

On my server I realized some improvements: I am using the Pachanko USB Iteration cable, now. My cable I had before, I thought, that this one is really good. But the Pachanko is even better. The stage is more realistic and the sound becomes warmer and fuller. I bought the Mutec Ref 10. Only in the combination with the Mutec MC3-USB the sound quality improves. The rhythm section really plays on time, now and the sound stage sounds even more realistic. The Mutec Ref 10 has a lot of more outputs and I wanted to use. SO I replayed my SOTM clock and bout the SOTM SCLK-ex with the external master clock option. I connected the Mutec Ref 10 to the master clock output. Inside the servers I am using three outputs of the SCLK-ex to connect with the mainboard, LAN and the USB card. The sound quality even improved much more. It feels like live music or being in a concert hall. O am planning to buy a DAC with 10 Mhz Clock input. Unfortunately these DACS are rare. Mutec will develop a DAC with such an input. I am really looking forward to test this DAC.

Hello! I've just joined. My new HTPC rig with two monitors is almost complete. I want to avoid having three power bricks and meters of cord. The best solution I've found seems to be the HDPlex 200W LPS. It seems it can support both monitors (two XLR 19V outs), the HTPC (one XLR 12V out), the SOtM tX-USBexp (one XLR 5V out), and even my Chord Hugo (one USB-C 5V out). That's all my digital equipment! Will this work? It seems too perfect to be true.

Here is my just-completed build of a fanless silent music player. Components: - HDPLEX 2nd Gen H5 fanless chassis - HDPLEX HiFi 250W DC-ATX (nanoATX series) power converter - HDPLEX 160W AC-DC w/PFC (nanoATX series) PSU - Supermicro X11SAE-M uATX motherboard - Intel Xeon E3-1275 v5 CPU - 16GB DDR4-2133 memory - Samsung 950 Pro 512GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD - PPA v2 USB card This box will be used to run HQPlayer. Target OS is Windows 10. The M.2 SSD is a placeholder which will eventually be removed to make the box diskless, booting from a mounted iSCSI drive served by a silent NUC box acting as NAS and containing my music library. I'm also waiting for an HDPLEX 300W ATX linear PSU to arrive, and will be able to compare the sound between the above PSU setup and the 300W linear PSU.

FOR SALE: HDPlex 500w ATX Linear Power Supply. https://hdplex.com/hdplex-fanless-500w-atx-linear-power-supply-with-modular-atx-output.html . These are very hard to find and have been sold out for months. I originally purchased this unit in March 2021 (arrived in late April) to power a music server build, but due to supply chain issues I haven’t been able to put everything together. As a result it is in completely unused mint condition. It has been sitting in the box nearly the entire time. Besides the power supply, I’ve upgraded the fuse to Synergistic Research Orange, and added isolation with Isoacoustics Gaia III feet (which required thread adapters which I ordered separately). All factory parts and cables are also included, as well as the ATX bridge modular input board. If you’d like, I can also include an adapter cable which will allow the pcie from the psu to power the secondary 4 or 8-pin CPU EPS on the motherboard. I’ve decided to go in another direction for a server and will not be needing the psu anymore. I was excited to use it, especially with the upgrades, so it’s a bit disappointing to see it go. Hopefully I can pass it along to someone who’s been looking for one of these, as again, they’re very hard to find. I’d like to sell everything as a package, but will consider leaving out the Gaia feet and lowering the price. But, in my opinion, linear power supplies definitely benefit from isolation, and these are some of the best on the market. I’m an avid reader of this forum but don’t tend to post, so you can also check out this ad on US Audio Mart where I have an established record and 100% positive feedback. My username is Jazzebration. Buyer to cover PayPal and shipping fees. I’m around for any questions if you have them. Just let me know.975.00 USD

For sale is a HDPLEX 500W ATX Linear Power Supply. Silver Faceplate. NEW - I have not even opened the box (but will open just prior to shipping to make sure everything is in order). Still under warranty. I received it from HDplex in March 2021. Warranty is 12 months from delivery. This is their latest model. According to Larry: "500W ATX LPSU has been completely redesigned to replace the original 400W ATX LPSU. It has ATX modular output and two LT3045 based adjustable output which support 3A each. Its modular ATX output has independent 3.3V/5V/12V rail. The CPU EPS Rail is also independent of PCIE 12V rail. 500W ATX LPSU is also using a new chassis which has 50% more heat dissipation area compare to the 400W ATX LPSU chassis." It is currently out of stock on the HDPlex website. I am selling because I thought I had the time to build my music server, but unfortunately, work just got so busy. Instead of having this LPS sit in the corner, I rather someone make good use of it. Shipping is included within the continental US. Buyer is responsible for Paypal fees unless you do friends and family. MSRP is $858. I am selling these for $790. Thanks for looking.790.00 USD
