Hey there, I am interested to burn an Audio CD. This will be a compilation having as source, wav files. I am interested to mix some of them using custom curve crossfade or no fading effects. I know that some burning software (like Nero for example) have a built in option called crossfade with previous track, but the result will involve a fade in/out as well. Having this project in mind, what is your recommendation in order to preserve the native quality of the wav tracks? Saving the compiled files (was as well) could come with loss of quality? how can I check taking in consideration the fact that the resulted files will be at different duration, CD index, etc. I've tried Nero SoundTrax but no so sure about the quality. Im almost positive that I'd have to go with the Creative Lab: SoundBlaster ZxR to hook up the 7.1 system (I also want it to have the highest quality surround sound features as well... I'm just starting out myy degree in Audio/Music Video Editing but I am making enough from my dad's Premium Cigar shop overtime hours that he gives me and I am spending nothing so that I can afford to get this equipment. I need the best audio/visiual editing software as well. (I don't need wireless speakers, but I do need the best subwoofer their is.) I want to have this Professional grade studio done by the time I'm out of college because I want to get to work on doing Awsome audio/visiual editing... I won't turn out mp3 garbage. But right now I have things covered perfectly on the visiual side of things. Anyways I just started my Degree so I really don't know what all to buy. I know a high end 7.1 Channel surround sound system, I already know that SoundBlaster is by far the easyiest to edit with, But I don't know what cables or anything else.

Hi can i know what software do you use to edit your audio? i love steinberg wavelab but it's very exansive so i have subscribtion of adobe audition cc 2017 thanks

Hi everybody, as I found out "Wavepad" is widely unknown to this forum. It is only mentioned in one post. That is why I registered. Apparently nobody around here abused this audio editing software in order to just play music. To my ears its audio engine is very good; I also have Logic Studio and Audirvana+, but Wavepad presents you all the little details you missed. There is a catch, though. It is not a proper player, i. e. there is no player functionality whatsoever, it is all manual. You can download a trial version for free which will turn into a restricted demo version after a while - still good enough to play your stuff.
