Hey guys I'm just getting into taking my music and listening experiences seriously cause I appreciate what tidal hifi masters has after using a buddy's beats studio 3 ( I know) sorry I'm new to this community and terminology may be wrong but stick with me , I plan on buying the Bowers PX headphones tomorrow and I'm confused which portiable amplifier should I get too enhance the sound quality . I will be using only tidal hifi so if you guys have any tips or suggestions on another headphone similar to the one stated above it would be much appreciated. I will be using the note 9 as my main device. Sorry if I didn't make sense Thanks

I have been using my system now for two and a half years: Meridian 818v3 reference Bowers 800D (3) Classe mono amps Roon (recently upgraded to 1.7) Tidal stream through Roon Sarum T cables MAC Laptop as Roon core (OS: Yosemite 10.10.5) Everything has been working fine until a couple of weeks ago. I have noticed a considerable drop in sound quality, and I am struggling to understand where on my system I am getting the issue. To date I have: 1 - Tried playing through one amp and one speaker. It seems to be the same on both which rules out an Amp/Speaker issue 2 - I streamed directly from Tidal on my laptop through USB to the 818v3 and still get the same issue 3 - I have rolled back the Roon software to 1.6 and 1.5 and go the same issue. This leads me to the 818v3 being the problem? I have reset to factory settings just incase there are some rogue filters, but its still the same problem. Anybody got any advice? Matt

Hi, I was visiting the Bowers & Wilkins website. I was reading the contents on 700 S2 Series and I wonder if there are sonic differences between 705 S2 and 706 S2 models. After reading the specifications, from the technical point of view, there are very few differences. The 705 S2 is more expensive than the 706 S2, so I guess there will be differences. If anybody has tested this loudspeakers, worth it pay extra money for the 705 S2 model? Thanks.
