Hi, New member here, hoping for some help. I have a DigiOne player (RPI3b+ & DigiOne), powered by the standard RPI wallwart PSU, connected to the DAC in an Audiolab 8200CD, which is connected to my hifi amp. The Audiolab DAC is capable of playing 24 bit 96 kHz files, via USB input or via SPDIF coax but I can't find any way to get the RPI/DigiOne to output sound higher than 16 bit 44.1kHz. I don't have another SPDIF source capable of outputting hi res files but I have used a windows 10 laptop via USB connection to achieve 24 bit 96kHz (which

How could it happen that audio file's bitrate is 1024kbps but it has 44.1 kHz sampling frequency at 16 bits. 44.1(kHz) * 16(bits) = 705.6 kbps. Is it not? Am I missing something ?

Anyone can help with the external encoder so that I could convert files to 1141 bitrate using uncompressed wave. Usually, it is not a problem where even DSD files could be converted to 1141 bitrate using uncompressed with 16 bit. However, I am unable to convert AIFF files that used sampling rate of 48000hz. I still get the same bitrate with the WAVE conversion using JRiver. It is such an hassle to convert track by track using Audacity. It can be easily addressed by JRiver if they add one more option to select the sampling rate. I have posted in JRiver forum but no response so far.
