The Townshend Isolda cables have much of the midrange openness, clarity and easy flow of the Skywire 1400s but with the addition of greater treble sparkle and deep, take-no-prisoners bass. View Classified Balanced Audio Technology VK-200 - BAT Power Amplifier - 100 Watts/Ch Here is an awesome power amplifier from Balanced Audio Technology - the VK-200. New cost $3595. Buyer pays shipping and fees. It features a fully balanced circuit that has a power output of 100 watts/ch into 8 ohms. But a power rating of a huge 1200VA says that it has much more juice! I had a chance to compare it to Bryston. Bryston 4b SST has the same 1200VA rating, but it rated as 300 wpc.. looks like BAT measures three times as more conservative than Bryston 😃 Even though Bryston 4b SST is highly sought after, BAT VK-200 performs better in every aspect: deeper and more controlled bass, more transparent and wider soundstage, more musicality overall and more balanced sound. And all these benefits are due to MOSFET technology. It's the best of two worlds: tunes and solid state. Rear about it for yourself. This unit is in very good cosmetic condition and works perfectly. The only flaw - is in the picture attached: one little scuff. Please see pictures attached as they are a part of the description. It comes with a stock power cord. Ave to the headphones specialists ... While I was looking into different headphone amps this weekend I recognized that "Balanced Outputs" looks like the new standard feature, However it seem not clear, if 2.5mm, 3.5mm, 4.4mm , 3-Pin XLR or 4-Pin XLR should be the standard. Looks like a great chance for cable manufactures, though. Which is the best practise to have your cans suiting to the standard of your new HP amp? New cables with fitting connectors ? Adapter cables ? Not talking about STAX or RAAL ... Curious, Tom
