  1. For sale is my Beyerdynamic T1 headphones. They have been upgraded by Moon Audio with thier 10' Black Dragon V2 Headphone Cable with a Neutrik Single 4 pin Male Gold Plated XLR. The headphones are in very good condition. I am the original owner and purchased from Moon Audio. The cable upgrade is over a $200 value. I am asking $750 which includes the original case and shipping to the lower 48 fully insured. Overview: The completely redesigned transducers achieve values of over one Tesla (a unit of measurement for magnetic flux density). That provides the listener with almost double as much volume as traditional headphones. The increased efficiency also leaves the T 1 with greater power reserves for dynamic, undistorted sound and nearly lossless conversion of electric signals into sound waves. The extremely lightweight 600 Ohm voice coil provides transparency and perfect impulse fidelity. The elegant look of the T 1 compliments the technical achievements, with even the smallest of details selected by hand. This model reaffirms beyerdynamic's commitment to world-class "Made in Germany" quality. Specs: Transmission type - Wired Headphone design (operating principle) - Semi-open Headphone impedance - 600 ohms Headphone frequency response - 5 - 50,000 Hz Nominal sound pressure level - 102 dB Construction - Circumaural (around the ear) Cable & plug – Upgraded Moon Audio *** The stand in the pictures is not included in the sale.
  2. For sale is the exceptional Oppo HA-1 Headphone Amplifier in very good condition. I am the original owner and purchased directly from Oppo last August. I am asking $900 which includes all the original accessories and shipping in the original box to the lower 48 fully insured. This is what Oppo has to say about the HA-1: The analog audio section of the HA-1 is a fully balanced design with an emphasis on keeping the audio signal in the analog domain once it leaves the DAC. The HA-1 is anchored by a hefty toroidal power transformer, and linear power regulators and filters with custom made capacitors ensure that the headphone amplifier has a clean power source with plenty of reserve energy. The fully balanced Class A power amplification section uses hand-picked and paired discrete components to ensure symmetry, and a motor-driven precision volume control knob allows for both manual and remote control volume adjustment while keeping the audio in a pure analog audio path. Features: - Class A Headphone Amp and Pre-Amp - ESS 9018 Sabre32 Reference DAC - Toroidal Power Supply - High Definition Audio Support - Mobile Device Support - Display Driven Interface
  3. I sent a note to HD Tracks in case other Mac OS users download, they may have the same issue / question.
  4. I think I may have found out what is causing it. The album name is .5: The Gray Chapter, and therefore downloaded as a hidden file. I changed the terminal to show hidden files, renamed the folder, and set back and all is good.
  5. First, I did search the net and found the following thread http://www.computeraudiophile.com/f13-audiophile-downloads/hdtracks-download-manager-3414/ I did not read all 285 posts, but did do some searches on key terms with no luck. I downloaded a new album today from HD Tracks. The download manger opened fine and took some time to download the files. When it was done I went to the file location to move the files to my preferred directory and drive. The artist folder was there, but no album, and no songs. I am on Mac OS Mavericks. When I click get info on the artist folder it shows (1,788,175,160 bytes (1.79 GB on disk) for 1 item). When I drag the whole artist folder to my external drive where I store my music I could see it was moving something as it showed progress and took some time. Still I cannot see the album folder or any tracks. I have tried opening the folder with Audirvana and it cannot find the files, but MusicBranz Picard can find them, lookup, and tag. Has this happened to anyone before, and if yes, what is the fix?
  6. This has not been my experience in other forums. Again I have to reference my auto forums since that is the only really example I have. Even when in a devoted thread, by a forum sponsor, there are adds flashing at the top from other vendors. While it may not be ideal, it seems to work fine there.
  7. I would second this. In the car forums I participate in, many manufactures freely post threads dedicated to their products. I find this a great way to find out information directly from them. Many of these companies are incredible sources of knowledge, and anything we can do to get them to participate helps to further the hobby. Finally, in some cases, the manufactures high participation in the forums pushed me to go with their products. It is nice buying something not just from a company, but from someone I have chatted and PM'd several times.
  8. Digipete this seems completely unnecessary. You just lumped all American's into a Stereoytype which shows how ignorant you are. Just because you feel that you and your way of life are perfect and everyone should adhere, does not really make it acceptable to rant such things. The past two companies I have worked for were both non American. So I have worked with many international team members. In my experience, the Americans on my teams have been no more or less lazy than there non American counterparts. So this is just a broad generalization you like to make to put down others you clearly do not like. There are also many Americans who do things to spearhead environmental awareness. My family recycles wherever we can. I try to buy earth friendly detergents and other cleaning products. I wash my clothes on cold water. I used cloth diapers for both of my children. I try to unplug unnecessary energy vampires in our house. My family uses solar power where they can. And so on. You should really think before you speak. P.S. - Forgot to add, I don't own any guns...
  9. La Roux - Trouble in Paradise 24/96 FLAC from HD Tracks
  10. I listen to a lot of metal and industrial music which many would say is just noise and not art. To answer your question, to me it is art because of the emotion / reaction it invokes. If I listen to classical music, jazz, or many other types, they do nothing for me. To me, that is just noise in the background. Put on some heavy metal, and my soul stirs. I immediately want to get up and dance, run around, go crazy. It takes all of the feelings I have inside and brings them out and amplifies them.
  11. Still love the begining of "Waiting Room". Can't wait for this one.
