  1. Apologies, not sure how I missed your question until now, @Evo-No-Revo. The ends are 5.5mm x 2.1mm. Thank you.
  2. Given the known BIOS limitations of NUCs in relation to Audiolinux as well as the requisite CPU fan, I decided to look for an alternative a few months ago and came across a fanless alternative - the Kingdel NC860. The BIOS is American Megatrends core version 5.12 (UEFI v2.6, build date Jul 2018) and it utilizes a 15W TDP, quad-core Intel i7-8550U CPU. More CPU details here: https://ark.intel.com/products/122589/Intel-Core-i7-8550U-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-4-00-GHz. It's been rock solid running Audiolinux Headless (currently at v0.5 in my system), Roon Server, and HQPlayer Embedded in ramroot and has no problems with poly-sinc-xtr-mp-2s at DSD256. Turbo Boost and Hyperthreading are both disabled for a relatively small SQ improvement. It also ran Roon ROCK with no problems when I briefly tested it but it's not officially supported by Roon. The Kingdel does choke on non-2s oversampling at DSD256, which is as high as my DAC goes. It also takes a 12V power supply and a wall wart is included - I think 36W but I forget. (My Uptone JS-2 provides way more wattage than the Kingdel needs.) The main rub in my opinion is availability (although I suppose that support could potentially be an issue as well). You can find it at Amazon but the only ones I've seen as of Dec 2018 require the inclusion of RAM, storage, and a Windows 10 Pro license. I reached out to the seller about buying a bare-bones version (no RAM, storage, or OS) but he declined. I did find a bare-bones version for about $340 with free shipping to the US through AliExpress.com. DHL delivered it from China in about ten days. I was a little nervous about the transaction but knew I could always get credited by Visa in the event of a worst-case scenario; AliExpress also has Buyer Protection. So to recap, the fanless Kingdel NC860 runs a low-power 8th Generation Intel i7 CPU with a more flexible BIOS than the one used with NUCs. It has no problems with the Audiolinux Headless/Roon/HQPe combination and I've had very positive experiences at DSD256 native and upsampled. Despite the caveats I previously mentioned, I think the Kingdel NC860 is well worth it.
  3. Original sale fell through. Finally getting around to relisting. Thanks!

Hi, Cutting back on some of my gear LPS-1 Originally $410, offering at $240 DC-4 List $140, offering at $95 Condition: Excellent - no scratches or dings that I can see and performs flawlessly Price will remain firm through the end of November If you have a good LPS and are just using the standard cable that came with it, you quite simply have no idea how much SQ improvement you're leaving on the table. Do yourself a favor and get a twisted copper or silver DC cable. The DC-4 is a fantastic option. 9. Hi @clangthe specs are accurate. I've been using a 12V LPS for months and not only does it work without issue, the sound appreciably improves using it over the supplied PSU.
  10. NUC: $359 with free shipping within CONUS TeddyPardo: $179 plus shipping (retail $369) Or buy them together for $499 plus shipping. Prices are firm. Details below. Selling my 7th Gen i5 NUC. It's about six months old and includes: SanDisk SD8SN8U X400 M.2 128GB SSD for the OS Crucial 8GB Single DDR4 2400 RAM (fastest RAM for 7th Gen NUC) Kingston 120GB SSD for music storage (I'm holding on to the SSD I was using) Original NUC box and accessories It's currently configured for ROCK (https://kb.roonlabs.com/Roon_Optimized_Core_Kit) and only needs your Roon login info. The TeddyPardo Teddy12/2 (12V, 2A) Linear Power Supply is in very good condition. I've been using it to power the NUC7i5BNH and the audio improvement over the standard NUC power supply is clearly appreciable. (Intel states that NUCs accept both 19v and 12v power supplies. The LPS cable that comes with this Teddy12/2 is 5.5mm/2.1mm so I've used a 2.1mm to 2.5mm adapter to connect to the NUC. If you buy both the NUC and the LPS and need the adapter, I'll include it.) I've been very happy with the Teddy12/2 but have replaced with the dual-output Uptone Audio JS-2 LPS. More info about the Teddy12/2 available here: https://www.teddypardo.com/powersupplies/generic/teddy12-2.html I can't find the original box but will pack it securely.
