    It’s 11.5b did factory reset and so far it seems like there’s less lag.

    I upgraded to new firmware and my U1 now has major lag. When I choose something to play it takes about a minute to start playing. Then it will just randomly stop playing music at times and take anywhere from 1-3 minutes to start playing again. Anyone have similar issues? Suggestions? Is there a way to revert to previous version of firmware?

    the lumin app is not the only solution. i use the linn kazoo app and find it much better. that said, the linn app will not adjust settings on the U1, just manage playback - and for this, i find it superior to the lumin app.

    i'm fairly certain that most every single poster in this thread has burned cds or made mixtapes for people. that said, a dealer giving away terabytes of ripped music is ethically challenged. and two wrongs don't make a right. there is wholesale theft of digital media content everywhere - at this point its priced into most music sales.

    pc to DAC to preamp or integrated amp/amp to speakers. unless you get an all in one solution like the peachtree then you will need a separate dac, amp and/or preamp. you can also use what you already have and just do audio out from your computer to your existing set up. used peachtree products come up fairly often on audiogon. i think teac and onkyo also offer some one box solutions - i'm sure there are several others i'm not remembering at the moment. getting really high quality audio from your computer is somewhat expensive and can easily get complicated. getting decent audio quality is
