  1. I’ve had terrible luck getting Qobuz to work well in my ‘17 VW with CarPlay. I can access and play Qobuz through the app on my phone, but the interface on the screen in the car is mostly useless. Had similar issues with Tidal so I’m thinking it’s the fault of the VW. There seems to be no way to update the cars firmware.
  2. I found the curious cable "link" - the short one designed for Regen type decices - improved the sound quality of my system.
  3. Akassa and others make fanless NUC cases. http://www.akasa.com.tw/update.php?tpl=product/product.detail.tpl&no=181&type=Fanless Chassis&type_sub=Fanless NUC&model=A-NUC35-A1B#
  4. Perfect timing https://audiobacon.net/2017/05/11/preorders-now-available-for-sotm-sms-200ultra-and-sps-500/
  5. More GE Smith, with some killer vocals from Chrissie Hynde.
  6. Warren Zevon on Letterman Great version of a great song. Interview part is just ok.
  7. Have you heard ROON ROCK? May influence your desxisions going forward. https://community.roonlabs.com/t/rock-hardware-primer/21756
  8. Did some digging and found this article re: new motherboard and Win 10. http://www.windowscentral.com/how-re-activate-windows-10-after-hardware-change
  9. I built a fanless pc with an embedded j1900 intel processor and its running pretty slow with Roon server. I figure MQA decoding will over tax it. Asrock is out with a new line of embedded MB's and I'm going to get one. My question is: can I simply swap out the board and re connect the SSD or do I need to wipe it and do a fresh install of windows 10, fidelizer Roon and tidal? S Thanks.
  10. I'm using an ASrock Q1900B-ITX board with a pico power supply and a SSD drive running windows 10. No fan and it works great. I don't do any oversampling, just streaming from an external SATA Hard Drive and Tidal.
  11. I think you might be surprised. Give these guys a try. Not affiliated in anyway, but I used their IC's for quite a few years. 30 day money back. I'm sure there are other sub $80 PC's that would also be an improvement. Digital Power Cord
  12. I'm having great success demoing a new downsized system - Rega Elicit R, a Rega DAC and Harbeth Compact 7's. Great Synergy and the Elicit will drive most speakers. (The Rega RP6/Dyna Cart sounds great as well!)
