  1. Great YouTube review. However I am not sure if I'd categorize Denafrips TP sound as "Analog like" sound. The DAC sounds very clean without adding any color, however I (IMHO) feel it has to be a little more warmer to be categorized as "analog like". May be since I've heard the Lampizator GA TRP which in my opinion is very analog sounding, I feel this way. Again its just my perception.
  2. I had the lampizator amber 3 DAC when I tried the Denafrips. I was able to upgrade to the ga trp through the “trade up” program that lampizator offers. So I ended up doing it. I still think for the music that I listen to, tubes are great! Tubes do produce some distortion but it makes me enjoy the music. It makes me relax, so stuck with the tubes. However I am now curious to try the Denafrips with the Gaia if I get another opportunity.
  3. I am a tube lover and both my preamp and power amplifiers (mono blocks) are tubes. There is something about the tube sound that draws me in to the music. It makes me focus and enjoy the music and relax. Just to give you some perspective of what kind of music I listen to mostly , here is a sample from one of my playlists: I got a fantastic opportunity to try/demo the Denafrips Terminator Plus DAC at my home with my equipment. There are plenty of reviews and YouTube videos explaining the various features of the DAC, the differences between the PLUS version and the regula
  4. Nice! I made some big decision too lol. Purchased the Antipodes CX-EX combo. Should be getting them this week. Decided to remove the etherregen from mix. I found just the SOTM switch to be sufficient. Sold the ether regen. My Farad 3 (12V) with level 2 DC cable will be up for sale today. My Server with the HD Plex power supply will also be up for sale once I receive the CX-EX. This hobby is consuming me now lol.
  5. Hi Roasty, why were u selling this cable? U didn’t like it? What are u changing/upgrading to?
  6. Hi guys, question to those who daisy chain SoTM switch with an Ether regen. which one connects to your router? Router -> SoTM 10g -> etherregen -> renderer router -> etherregen-> SoTM -> renderer? I have a fiber sfp module and I’ll be connecting the 2 switches using fiber . I’ve heard that the fiber in SoTM is not that great. Which makes me think I should go with option 2. If thats the case, where should I connect my renderer on the SoTM (which ports)? Ports closest to the fiber or farthest ?

  9. Hi guys, I am running (experimenting with) Roon+Squeezelite server. My renderer is a SOTM SMS200. myDAC has amanero USB and is capable of doing 384Khz and DSD 256. However on Roon, the Max PCM rate is only showing 192 Khz and DSD shows up at 64. Is there a setting I need to change. Separate question - If I choose Roon + Stylus EP, what option should I choose on the Eunhasu to be active?
  10. After having the discussion with him over phone, thats exactly the thread he pointed me to :)
  11. Thank you! I just spoke to @Nenon and he suggested the same thing. I am revisiting my spaghetti chain now. We had a very productive discussion about what I could do!
  12. I was considering (and in touch with) Sean Jacob’s dc3. Is this better than Paul Hynes ?
  13. nice. Are u suggesting to eliminate the renderer? The reason I wanted the renderer was for Spotify streaming. Was also thinking it would provide galvanic isolation from the server.
  14. Hello guys, Here is a picture of my current setup. Please note that the purple circles (Paul Hynes LPS and Mutec Ref 10 ) are currently NOT present in the circuit. My music server is currently powered by a HDPlex 200W LPS. I am thinking of either of the 2 things: 1. Upgrade my power supply to Paul Hynes / Sean Jacobs. But considering I am using a network renderer and have galvanic isolation, will it make a big difference? 2. Upgrade the clock to the Mutec REF10. Which of these do you think I should do first?
