  1. I upgraded Dietpi and the problem has stopped.
  2. I should add that the reason I want to Earth it in the first place is because i get a pop sound through the speakers when I stop playing a song. I’m guessing that earthing it may remove the popping.
  3. There are no instructions for the shanti as far as I’m aware. But the digione has instructions here https://allo.com/sparky/digione-signature-player.html#downloads
  4. Thanks Speedskater. So do you know how to properly ground / earth the shanti specifically? I’ve read elsewhere that a wire connecting it to the circuit board of the RPi is the right thing to do. IIRC that guidance came from the Shanti manufacturer. But I don’t see anywhere on the board to connect it to.
  5. I have a digione Signature and shanti power supply. On the shanti there is a grounding / earthing terminal. I’m thinking of connecting it to one of the USB ports on the RPi using a modified USB cable. I don’t really understand grounding or earthing (is there a difference?). Could anyone with better knowledge tell me if what I plan to do would be an effective way of grounding / earthing? Many thanks.
  6. Well the DigiOne and Shanti arrived today and I have to say it pretty much worked straight out of the box. The only thing I had to set up manually was the WiFi, and you were correct nbpf, the instructions were fine. I’m now enjoying a greater sound improvement than I was expecting tbh, and I’m sure that will improve with some burn in. Thanks for your help.
  7. Thanks nbpf. I took the plunge last night and ordered the Digione signature (with diet-pi) and shanti. Very exciting - I’m hoping for a big bump in quality from my ageing sonos zp90. I plan to use mainly amazon music over airplay and also stream my own collection which sits on my NAS, hopefully controlling it all from my iPad. Allo recommend an Ethernet connection bu that’s not possible for me so it has to be wifi. I’ve read the set up manuals and they are baffling to me! Does anyone have any guidance on what I’ll need to do to set up? Are there any links to easy to follow step-by-step guides? Any advice is appreciated. I am coming from a very low knowledge base.!
  8. Thanks for the response That’s really helpful. I read somewhere that airplay 1 downsamples high res signals to 16/44. If true then it’s not a huge problem, but a bit of a shame not to be able to take advantage of the UHD tracks that Amazon music has to offer. Does anyone know whether what I read about airplay is correct?
  9. Hi all. Newbie here....and my first time posting on any forum so please forgive any etiquette faux pas! Hoping someone can help as I have little knowledge on this subject. I’m considering buying the DigiOne Signature to feed into my DAC. I have a NAS full of music but I mostly just use Amazon Music HD these days. So what I’m trying to find out is if I can stream music from Amazon music to the DigiOne. The Amazon music app on the iPad has an airplay option but I’ve never used it (I have no airplay devices). Does the DigiOne work on airplay? Has anyone successfully used it to stream Amazon music? I’ve searched the forum before posting but haven’t found anything specific on this. Hoping someone with more knowledge and experience than me can give me some advice. Many thanks.
