Bob...I noticed that when you save the IR file you indicate a sampling rate of 192. Is that chosen on the basis of what is going to be coming into hqp (44.1, in my case) or what is coming out after upsampling in hqp? thanks

Little more info. The airport puts out 44.1 or 48 (?) but hqp does the upsampling with whatever filter you like. Then output to your dac. So its not bit perfect, but it is sounding good to me 🙂

Sure...I am sending amazon from a tablet to an airport express. The express is plugged into the audio in miniplug jack on a imac that is running hqplayer. I choose built in input as the backend for hqplayer version 4.

Thank you for this...there are a couple of steps I missed, but basically the same approach has worked for me

Thanks.....I will give it a try.

I have been experimenting with routing amazon musichd directly into hqplayer version 4. Upsampling and using ext2 filter sounds surprisingly good. However, my set up is a little off at certain frequencies and I have always used roon's eq to adjust for that. That option is unavailable running through hqplayer directly. I am wondering if there is software that allows one to create a eq curve and save it as an IR file for use in hqplayers convolution engine. I don’t need a full room correction solution here, just a simple eq curve that could be used in hqplayer. Ideas? thanks

Thanks....I know nothing about software development but is that something that you can add in a future release (auto switching)

Thanks Miska..I might try loopback. But your note makes me think I might be able to run an optical out from my mac powerbook to the imac that is running HQP

I am wondering what is the best way to implement the real time audio input function of HQPlayer to feed the new amazon hdmusic service directly into it. Roon is not an option for now.

Nevermind. Apparently the 2011 imac I have still has the mini jack optical audio in port. I will try that. Sorry

Is there a way to play tidal direct to HQP using the new real time input function. I seem to remember a comment about using chromecast audio to input to HQP. How would I feed the optical out of chromecast into my imac so that HQP could upsample and play to my dac?

Not sure if you are referring to the clicking issue, but that problem only occurs when using HQP 4 and employing the EC modulators. No issue with version 3. So it would have to be specific to some Roon-HQP 4 interaction.

And for the detectives out there....it also occurs when I manually move to another part of the track, just before the music starts

Also more prevalent when I manually advance to next track before current track is finished

As far as I can tell, it is much less prevalent or absent when not using the EC modulators. Although I love them.
