  1. I don't know why but that worked.
  2. Thank you. I enabled DoP and everything works.
  3. This DAC is a Topping D10 that I use for my desktop. I am also having the issue with my Audio-GD R7HE in my main rig. Everything worked fine up until a few days ago. I’ll try your recommendations and see if that helps. thanks, james
  4. Hi all, recently I have not been able to play DSD files with HQPlayer. Everything is being converted to PCM and I don't know why. I have attached my settings in the hopes that someone can point out what I'm doing wrong.
  5. My NUC is Windows 10
  6. Anyone else here having issues installing HQPlayer Desktop 4.10.2? I can download it but it won't install.
  7. Hi, I see that HQPlayer 4 Embedded 4.21.0 was released today and I have tried to update to this new version on my sonicTransporter i5 v3 but I am unable to get it to update past 4.20.3. Any ideas on how to update the the newest HQPlayer Embedded version?
  8. Thank you for the response and for sharing your similar issues. I'll try Roon to see what they say. One thing I did successfully was to take my sonicTransporter/ultraRendu out of the loop and run HQPlayer/Roon off my NUC and everything worked fine. I can play up to DSD512 with no long pauses, stutters, or dropouts, so in my case I'm not sure if it's Roon or something with the sonicTransporter/ultraRendu.
  9. So you think the issue is Roon vs. HQPlayer? If I take HQPlayer out of the loop, everything works fine. I did the latest Roon update and things were working fine up until a couple of weeks ago.
  10. This issue seems to have started a couple of weeks ago where if I skip songs in Roon, sometimes the next song works, sometimes I have to pause the song multiple times and restart it before it plays. I am running a sonicTransporter5 Gen 3 and ultraRendu and using Roon/HQPlayer. I also noticed last night that I can no longer play DSD64 files without bad skipping. This had not happened before. Nothing has changed in my setup and all the Roon/HQPlayer settings are the same. Has anyone else had this issue and know how to resolve it.
  11. I agree with you on that. I ordered the sT i5, Gen3, with the stock power supply. Once I got the SGC 12 V LPS installed in my system, the background became much quieter, dynamics seemed to take a major leap, images became clearer and easier to pinpoint where on the soundstage they were coming from.
  12. Thank you for the response. I found out that the issue was not having an HQPlayer Embedded license. I purchased the license, installed the key, and it's working smoothly.
  13. Thank you for the response. That's what I was afraid of 😀I have an HDPlex 300 that's I'm currently using for my ultraRendu. It looks like Santa is going to be delivering an LPS under my tree.
  14. Hi, I recently purchased a sonicTransporter i5 Gen3 with the stock power cable. I'm wondering if anyone else on this forum has a sonicTransporter i5 Gen3, or other, and if so, are there any benefits in adding an LPS to this device.
  15. Thanks for your assistance. I was able to get it to work. It was copying over files overnight so hopefully things are done this morning.
  16. Yes, I use Windows. Thank you for the instructions. I have mounted the network drive and enabled smb, but the option for "storage - music" does not show up as an option for the internal drive I have installed on the i5.
  17. Hi all, I recently purchased a sonicTransporter i5 Gen 3 and installed a 2TB SSd. I have been able to mount the SSD but because the i5 reformats the SSD, it does not have any music. My question is, how do I copy my music library to the i5? Thanks, James
  18. I did see that, and if that kind of money wasn't an issue, I would certainly build it. I have used it as a reference to look at similar, less costly components.
  19. Thank you for the response. Did you build or buy?
  20. I'm open to either. I have been reading that EC Modulators need 4GHz or higher. I have been looking at fanless builds, but from what I've read, heat seems to be a factor with the i9-9900Ks.
  21. That is one of the options I have been looking at. Thank you for the response.
  22. Hi all, I'm hoping for some help in a high-powered music server that can process HQPlayer DSD512 or DSD256 with some of the EC modulators. I have looked at the Roon Nucleus + as well as the Sonictransporter i9. My current setup is Intel i7 6700 NUC running HQPlayer/Roon, Sonore ultraRendu, Audio-GD R8. I am currently able to play DSD128 (non-EC modulators), but the noise from the NUC gets pretty bad under heavy load so I'm looking for something much quieter. Any recommendations for under $3500?
