  1. Adrian, I didn’t ask about the wood mat. I asked about the value and denomination of cost -Fred
  2. I haven’t tried a UPS but from what I understand it’s not a good idea for audio.
  3. The Emotiva Stealth 8 active monitors were labeled as 200 amp for the tweeter and 200 amp for the woofer so 400w max per cabinet. I don’t believe the website said whether the value was maximum continuous or not. They are discontinued so I’d either have to check the Wayback Machine website or dig out your manual to check. The general rule of thumb that most people push is double the W to cover a power factor correction (PFC) of 0.5. W= VA x PFC If you have a meter that measures VA or PFC and you can put your your equipment in a worst case scenario then you don’t need to as
  4. Worst case scenario: -Speakers are 400w per channel (not class A but planning worst case) -DAC is 40w ish -Pre amp 95W for the HE-9 I used to have -Plus other random power supplies for DDC (gone now), Bluetooth stage, LPS-1.2, endpoint ~ 150w That’s about 1100w total. Double that for the watts to VA buffer comes out to 2.2KVA so that’s why the 2.4KVA was used (not wired for balanced power). I I currently run a 5KVA now because it’s wired for balanced power which means the 240v wiring configuration with 120v running though it. Plus there is no replacemen
  5. You won’t find a plug and play T1 or T100 unit with 6 outlets unless from the factory. You’d have to build a solution either like I did here (https://www.head-fi.org/threads/topaz-low-capacitance-isolation-transformers-for-affordably-clean-power.857448/post-15420796) or as seen in the previous links to satisfy that requirement. I wouldn’t shy away from a little DIY work. Building the power strip isn’t that bad unless you are stuffing a terminal strip and 10awg wiring inside and if you ever need assistance myself or one of the knowledge people on here would be able to walk you through it. Or yo

  11. Anyone have any idea where Tim is? I ordered something that listed as in stock from Kitsune on Monday before opening and haven’t seen a shipping notification. I sent an email on Wednesday inquiring about this and so far no response. Just trying to see if you guys have heard anything outside of normal, reasonable processing times.
  12. I DIY'ed my own solid core 8AWG magnet wire power cables with rhodium plugs. I think solid core is the way to go. The best power cables I have heard so far. The biggest pain though is getting rid of the thin but really durable enamel on the wire. So far I've only done my DAC and headphone amp but I bought a 200ft spool to do more.
  13. Will include Apollo AV 0.5m 5% Silver HDMI as well (pictured in red).
  14. From my comparison with I2S vs. USB I’d say USB was marginally better. Not a huge difference but even a small difference that allows me to simplify my system is a win. Of note, I couldn’t make my 3” HDMI cable work without rearranging a bunch of stuff which I wasn’t wiling to do so I used my 0.5m cable instead.

I felt the Spring was the best DAC I had heard for headphones when I got it and second best for speakers (Yggy A2 beat it there). After listening to the May for the past few days I found the Spring kind of blah. Obviously the Spring didn’t magically dip out once the May arrived but my knowledge of what w
