  1. I wonder why a PDF of the album book is not available with either of the digital downloads (unlike Sgt. Pepper's)? BUT the only way (as far as I can tell) to get the Esher demos as 96/24 is via digital download, I don't think they are on the Blu-Ray. Correct?
  2. I wonder why a PDF of the album artwork is not available with either of the digital downloads (unlike Sgt. Pepper's)?
  3. What is your source for there being a difference between the download of the remix and the Blu-ray Disc version of the remix?
  4. Interesting. What do you use the Album field for? (I use that for the work. e.g. "Haydn: Mass in B flat major, Hob. XXII:14 "Harmoniemesse"" or "Beethoven: Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor, Op. 37").
  5. Just curious. I was thinking of using it to tag all the CD rips from a big box like the recent Szell Complete, then create a smart playlist to sync to my iPhone. Thanks, Nicholas
  6. I was just tagging some CD rips when I got this error. I closed iTunes, rebooted and ran Disk Utility on all my drives and there were no errors. Have not seen the error again. Can anyone explain what the "iTunes Library file" is and is there a way to check it for errors or re-build it? Thanks, Nicholas Running iTunes 12.9.0.164 on 10.14.1
  7. Anyone seen any official comment on hi-res downloads coming available?
  8. I have obtained some excellent advice here, so forgive me that this post has nothing to do with music or iTunes ;-)I have used a Canon multifunction printer (printer, scanner and fax - MX870) for years. Nice quality output but not very good Mac support. Their drivers have never supported faxing from a Mac and sometimes the device "disappears", forcing a power-cycle to make it "reappear". They also do not have a driver for High Sierra, so I need something new.Another annoying thing is they re-design the ink cartridges when they come out with a new model. My requirements are pretty simple: -1) Reliable. I only print hundreds of pages a year, but it usually something important2) Plays nice with Mac3) Does not have to be super cheap, but better if less than $5004) No need for photography quality outputAnybody have a multi-function they can recommend? Thanks,Nicholas
  9. I would take a look at https://www.dbpoweramp.com/cd-ripper.htm for CD ripping. Very cheap, easy to use and has informative forums for any support issues you might have.
  10. I agree. BUT I was hoping for HD downloads, rather than having to figure out how to rip a Blu-ray disc.
  11. In 96kHz/24bit :-) http://www.thebeatles.com/news/we-are-ringing-holidays-new-global-beatles-releases
  12. I have a large (>1TB) iTunes music library. I would like to buy a piece of software that will output this music to an USB DAC. The music is mostly CD quality, but with an increasing percentage of HD. No DSD. I don't mind paying for high quality, reliable software. Ideally I'd like to use iTunes to manage the music and metadata. Is there any software that can play music from an iTunes library without changing the files? I played with JRiver Media Center, but found it very un-mac like and would prefer something simpler and less ugly. I typically play whole albums, so a program that showed all my albums and let me play one, is more or less what I need. Thanks for your suggestions. Nicholas
  13. But according to the back of the 2014 Complete Orchestral Recording 3 CD + 1 BD box set the recordings are "newly remastered versions of Kleiber’s orchestral recordings at 24 bit / 96 kHz" https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00K03VZXS/ref=cm_cd_asin_lnk Is this the same as the BD: - http://www.qobuz.com/at-de/album/ludwig-van-beethoven-symphonies-n5-n7-wiener-philharmoniker-carlos-kleiber/0002894790548 OR are the latest remasters only available on the BD?
  14. (This might be user error rather than a feature request) I would like to be able to sort albums by title when in the Composer view. The default is to sort by artist then title. I would like to see all my recording of Mahler 1, then Mahler 2 etc. etc..
