  1. ted...i am very much looking forward to your review. The Lightspeed cable was supposed to be shipped on May 8 from the Cable Co. but I have not had any work from them to date.
  2. this is somewhat like sex. Those that have not tried it may not understand what all of the fuss is about. Good news with USB cables: you can often return them if you do not like them; and without the financial and health implications.
  3. I am using Spotify on a regular basis. It actually sounds pretty good on my setup. It allows me to explore a lot of music. It also renders enough detail that I can tell if a recording is worth purchasing for higher sound quality. There are even some Chesky audiophile recordings there to sample.
  4. I am looking forward to read more reviews. I have learned so much from the information shared on these forums. Glad you are enjoying the cable too!
  5. I recently picked up a new usb cable that made a substantial difference in sound. Improvement was similar to a component upgrade. I don't claim to understand it but the change is there...for the better. Now I am looking at power cords.
  6. First let me apologize for my previous post with spacing errors. It was modified when when I pasted it from my clipboard. I have asked the administrator to remove it. This review is for the TotalDac D1 cable/filter. TotalDac is a French company that specializes in digital to analog converters. Their products have been reviewed by Audiostream and other main stream sites. I stumbled upon the D1 while purchasing a Chord EX. The sales representative told me about the D1 and highly recommended it, even though he did not carry the line. I was a bit shocked that he made a recommendation outsid
  7. Lol. I posted it from a mac program. I guess the spacing got messed up. Is there any way to edit?

It appears that there are still people out therethat value the audiophile experience over the almighty buck. Let me preface by saying that I was inh
  9. I have the totaldac usb/filter on the way. Thinking of getting the lightspeed from the cable co for comparison. Anything else to consider? Btw, the totaldac was 450 euros with shipping. Considerably less than the lightspeed. I also got it in 3m as Vincent said the length made no difference secondary to the filter.
  10. Thanks for for the reply. What is the benefit of this unit vs running the USB directly into the DAC? I am completely new to the computer-as-a-source thing so sorry if this seems silly. The rotel can process 192/24 directly from the USB.
  11. Hello. I am new to the forum. I just picked up the Rotel and I am quite impressed. I was wandering if anyone else is using this DAC. It substantially betters the Schiit Bifrost I had prior. I am also looking for tweaks and USB cables. I currently have an Audioquest Carbon but the difference is negligible vs my Media bridge cable. Upgrades I am considering are the Totaldac USB cable/filter or IFI USB power. I am currently running channel d pure music from a 2009 Mac book pro. thanks in advance!
