Hi, just if anyone’s using the Topping D90 MQA with the latest firmware 1.24, seems using Default DAC bits In Settings produces and error. If I set to 32 bits, then it works fine...

    HQ Player

Hi, I am running HQPlayer Desktop 4 on a dedicated Windows 10 machine that is connected to my DAC via NAA. Since I don’t listen to it all the time, the machine is set to sleep after a period of inactivity. I find that when I wake the machine and try to play, I have to close out of HQPlayer Desktop and reopen it in order for it to connect to the NAA. Alternatively, I can also go to settings, don’t do anything hit OK and that will work as well. Therefore, it seems HQPlayer loses connection to the NAA while in sleep mode. I don’t have any other instances of HQPlayer which would connect to the NAA so there is no chance another HQPlayer is taking control of the NAA while the Windows 10 machine is asleep. Would it be possible to add a feature to “refresh” the connection if it is lost? I know when I was using HQPlayer 3 and maybe even some earlier versions of HQPlayer 4 that it will play fine without any intervention from wake. Thank you.
  4. Hi, I’m running NAA on Debian (dierptpi) on a 4 GB Pi 4 and when playing DSD256, I get an occasional pops. After some googling, it’s suggested increasing the buffer size might help. I’ve increased to 250ms in HQPlayer (running on a Windows machine), but the pops still show up every once a while. Is there a way to increase the buffer size in NAA? Or something else I can do to get rid of the pops? I’m running XTR filter and ASDM7EC modulator on an i7 7700k machine over clocked to 4.8 GHz with a RTX 2080 Super. Thank you.

Hi, I just received my D90 MQA and for the life of me, I can’t seem to figure out how to change to DAC mode or adjust the I2S settings. Can someone shed some light? Thank you!

Hi, I’m expecting delivery of a Topping D90 and wanted to see if anyone’s had any experience connect a NAA endpoint to the DAC via I2S. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Hi, I’m running HQPlayer Destop on a dedicated Windows 10 machine with a RTX 2080 card for CUDA. It plays to a pi 4 running NAA. I notice that with the most recent version of HQPlayer that if I put the PC to sleep after a listening session that when I wake the PC, I need to close down HQPlyer and then restart it before music will play. In the past, things will play fine without having to close HQPlayer and relaunching. Any ideas why? I am controlling HQPlayer via Roon. Thanks!

Agreed! Fantastic product which has allowed many of use to not have to upgrade DAC's, speakers and even preamps!

While I mostly use HQPlay, there are times when I need to stream from the internet and so I’m looking for something that supports RoonBridge, NAA, Raspotify and AirPlay. I tried to build NAA on RopieeeXL, but it looks like the NAA image in AUR is only for amd64. Would you have the steps to build NAA for Arch Linux? Reading the Roon forums, it sounds like it’s not possible, but I didn’t understand why that would be....although I have no idea how to do it!
  10. Hi, I'm trying to install the latest NAA on a Pi 4 running Arch Linux (specifically RopieeeXL). It looks like NAA is on AUR but only for amd64. Is there a way to install NAA on Arch Linux manually? Thank you!

Hi, has anyone had any success installing NAA on RopieeeXL on a Pi 4? Reading the Roon forums, it sounds like it's not possible and I was curious to see/understand why or if others have found a workaround. Thank you!

I realized the Windows shows up because of process lasso. Sorry about that.

Hi, for some reason, when I start up HQPlayer in Windows, I'm seeing a command window come up with the following: OMP: Warning #123: Ignoring invalid OS proc ID 1. This didn't use to happen. Is there a way to close this? If I close this window, HQPlayer also ends. Thanks!

Yes, seems like overkill until Jussi implements even more hardware demanding features. I’ve had to upgrade several times starting with the 980! Enjoy!

Yes, XTR and ASDM at DSD512 works with the 2080 Super. GPU Utilization is around 65% and CPU is around 55% (i7 7700k)
