After uninstalling and reinstalling HQPlayer 4.2.3 and resetting the options, CUDA offload now working again. Dropouts stopped once the Multicore DSP option was checked.

HQPlayer desktop 4.2.3 Windows 10 CUDA offload is not working. Offload was enabled on previous version, but playlist loads with offload=disabled. CUDA offload setting is checked & have CUDA version 10.2 installed. edit:HQPlayer 3.5.4 reports offload=enabled, but any HQPlayer 4.x reports offload=disabled with the same settings.
  4. DACs have high output levels and amps too much gain. We need some standards for consumer audio 😗
  5. Can do 44.1k to 6.144Mhz DSD128, but only 5.6Mhz from DSD64 source with CUDA offload enabled. Shows even with an older gen CPU, raw clock speed is the key.
  6. Core I5 2500k overclocked to 4.6ghz can run 44.1k poly-sync-ext2 ASDM7EC DSD128 (integer multiple) w/o CUDA. Have GTX970 & now updated drives to run CUDA. Should do DSD128 (48k) after offloading convolution to gpu Running Windows 10 with all the bloated crapware running 😁

Thanks I will give this a try. I have noticed that by removing the route 224.0.0.0 & re adding to the physical adaptor only, the virtual adaptor routes were recreated on the next reboot, but with a different (higher) metric. Anyway this is now working with the NAA. Can now do ASMD7EC DSD128 from higher specced desktop PC to Network Audio adaptor running on audio PC

edit: managed to resolve the issue on the HQPlayer host side (Win10). Deleted all the routes for 224.0.0.0 & added back for only the physical network interface - NetworkAudioAdapter is now discovered. Is there any way to tell HQPlayer to use a specific interface? Windows has a number of virtual network interfaces (TAP-Windows Adapter v9, etc) which are added to the 224.0.0.0 route by default. It appears to be working on the wrong interface.

Thanks. I have not been able to get HQPlayer 4 to see the NAA either on Win10 NAA or Linux NAA. The networkaudiod window does not show any activity. The only way I can get HQPlayer to discover the NAA is running on the same PC. I can see the hqplayer UDP requests in Procmon, but networkaudiod does not show any network activity. Tried swapping out the Managed switch to a standard network switch, but no luck.

Question on the Windows NAA - there is an environment variable set for BACKEND to WASAP in the downloaded batch files. I how do I set it to use the ASIO DAC driver?

Alchemy Desktop sets the volume based on replay gain ( and can dynamically reduce volume when clipping is detected). Upcoming Alchemy v2 will be more advanced in managing volume level.
