  3. I did. I have a Music Linear LPS that works with both MagSafe and USB-C MacBook Pro. It it a clear step up in SQ. Also, running Euphony improves it further. I've since moved to a dual NUC setup and the LPS will go on sale.
  4. Yes, it was actually easier than expected. The internal SMPS outputs a single rail 12V. You can use a female DC barrel jack with screws (to avoid soldering) and use with an external power supply. It made a difference but not a big one (for me). I actually preferred stock SMPS over Uptone JS-2 - like most things this might be system and taste dependent.
  5. Thanks. Same here! It was in the spam folder.
  6. How long did your license key email take to arrive? I bought one from https://euphony-audio.com few days ago and still haven't received a key. I've reached out to them via. their web form but no response.
  7. Thank you everyone for your help. I was able to get the optical link up and running. I’ve listed the equipment for reference: Switch Cisco WS-C2960G-8TC-L Link: Easy to find used ones on eBay for $30-$60, I have the Gigabit version SFP Cisco GLC-SX-MMD Compatible 1000BASE-SX SFP 850nm 550m DOM Transceiver Module Link: https://www.fs.com/products/22138.html FMC Gigabit Ethernet Multi-Mode LC Fiber Media Converter (SFP SX Transceiver Included), up to 550M, 10/100/1000Base-Tx to 1000Base-SX Link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0716XT1QT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_fFLdDbT94VD0P Fiber 3 Meter Multimode Duplex Fiber Optic Cable (50/125) - LC to LC - Orange Link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001B1JEW2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_jHLdDb3C0TRJB Happy weekend!
  8. Thanks @jabbr, will report how this goes.
  9. Thanks for the direction. Is there a FMC/SFP that you recommend?
  10. I attempted this with the following hardware but couldn't get it to work. Will try again this weekend. 11. I separate my home network from the audio network via a pair of FMCs and would love to eliminate one FMC and power supply but utilizing the SFP port on the 2960. Has anyone successfully connected the fiber output of a FMC to the uplink input of a Cisco 2960 switch with a SFP module? Any help is appreciated!
  12. Thought I should chime in. I have the Cisco 2960 as well. I removed the internal SMPS (12V) and installed a 2.1mm DC input. I am currently, using a JS-2 to power the switch. Having tried two other much cheaper LPSs, I can say the LPS quality does make a difference. Compared to a Netgear Nighthawk switch, powered using the same setup, the Cisco clearly sounds better. Also, I don’t recall the difference between internal SMPS vs. external LPS. I did this a long long time ago.
  13. Lumin U1 Mini could be an option - Tidal, Qobuz, Airplay and a few others features like DSD, MQA, DoP. Supports AES in addition to USB. Takes in a USB HDD for local music as well. Pretty good app for iOS. The only thing it doesn't do that you asked for is Deezer and Bluetooth. Best of all, it sounds great, I have one.
  14. The Polaris is another cheaper option but it doesn't have individually filtered outlets which Sirius does to reduce crosstalk between devices. Isotek also states noise reduction numbers for their products. I think Titan is around 80dB and Sirius around 60dB.
