Since this is, from what I gather, a completely passive strip, there is nothing to wear out or upgrade. If your environment is smokey or humid, it is possible that there may be some contact issues but this is easily dealt with by an off-line session of unplugging/replugging to clean the contacts.

Guess not.

In this case, it is an engineer who knew the music intimately and then knew "how to place mics." I have and prize some of Jerry Bruck's other recordings: MAHLER: Symphony No.3 Mignon Dunn (Mezzo soprano), Columbia/Barnard Chorus, Riverside Women's Choir, Manhattan School of Music Children's Chorus, Manhattan School of Music Symphony Orchestra and Chorus Conducted by Glen Cortese (Live performance) Titanic Records Ti-252 (Two CDs) MAHLER: Symphony No.6 Manhattan School of Music Symphony Orchestra Conducted by Glen Cortese (Live performance) Titanic Records Ti-257 (One CD) -

Sorry. This is long gone as is the CT house. -
If you are going to have only 5.2 channels, I do not recommend that you go to the HAPI because it comes with unnecessary complications, as you have probably gleaned from my review. Using an exaSound, Okto or Topping 8-channel DAC is suitable and so much easier to set up and use.

What I was implying was that the the speaker would not "roll backwards (like a jet boat pushing out water)" with a 30Hz output since it consists of alternating forward and back displacements.
-
Well, with the Blades and, probably, the Vivids, that's not an issue since the forward-radiating drivers operate at higher frequencies with less physical displacements and the woofers are on the sides in a balanced/braced dual-opposed configuration that minimizes net directional forces. At 30Hz?

I am familiar with that report (and count Theo as a close friend). In the report, the only measurements are a recapitulation of Isoacoustics' own tests and Theo states "For me, I perceived that the GAIA isolators made a less dramatic impact on the music through the SVTR Signature Towers on the concrete substructure than the Salon2s on hardwood. " My situation is hardwood over reinforced concrete slab, so, for me, his most important observation is that the GAIAs "are an ideal solution for hardwood floor setups" in terms of stability and non-marking because spikes and other ad hoc treatments are unsuitable.
