4est
yes, it is the headphone socket for toslink out. You will need an adapter or preferably the correct cable with the apple mini jack. I recommend using glass, not plastic. Forrest: Win10 i9 9900KS/GTX1060 HQPlayer4>Win10 NAA DSD>Pavel's DSC2.6>Bent Audio TAP> Parasound JC1>"Naked" Quad ESL63/Tannoy PS350B subs<100Hz Link to comment
bottlerocket
You will need a mini plug (the mac headphone socket side) to toslink (the standard optical side that plugs into the Nova) cable. An example of this is available here. See the OPTISILK JACKETING version. http://www.lifatec.com/toslink2.html. Link to comment

lo1979
what about this one, is a bit cheaper http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tvcables/1m-toslink-mini-toslink-cable.html thanks Link to comment
wgscott
That looks like what you want. You never know until you try it. I am using one at the moment that I bought for $8 on Amazon and now it goes for $2.30 and I would say it is about 90% as good as a $70 glass toslink I was using. Link to comment
