Aurality PK 90

Any DAC that requires a driver generally is NOT compatible with Linux players such as Aurality.

Having said that you could use PK90 plus a Wavelength Wavelink (or similar) or the PK100.

...in my opinion / experience...

While I agree "Everything may matter" working out what actually affects the sound is a trickier thing.

And I agree "Trust your ears" but equally don't allow them to fool you - trust them with a bit of skepticism.

keep your mind open... But mind your brain doesn't fall out.

Eloise,

Thank you very much for your response. I thought that was the case but needed confirmation. I have been following the posts on CA for one year and have noticed that your comments on most matters raised on this forum are well thought out, well expressed and generally on the mark. Thanks again

Priaptor,

I believe from reading several of your past postings that you have a DAC 8. Feel free to correct me if I am incorrect. I am faced with the question of how to significantly upgrade my digital front end while employing the DAC 8 at the same time. Your thoughts as well as those of others would be greatly appreciated. I have considered the C.A.P.S. Server 2.0 however I have an iMac in another room and do not wish to run into operating system incompatibilities.
