Paul Williamson Posted November 19, 2008 Share Posted November 19, 2008 If you install winamp, there is a setting deep down that, by default, disables (yes, dis-ables) 24 bit replay. Follow the trail and I'll show you: right mouse button > options > preferences : Then select general preferences > playback > click on playback tab: Here I found a box labelled 'allow 24 bit' unticked. Tick the box and you're in hi def. For a novice it's not easy to deduce waht is happening from the main winamp display. Winamp warns of possible problems with some sound cards but all computers in my household and business show no problems when set this way Link to comment
