Popular Post jiminlogansquare
Kenny Dorham actually is the star here to my ears, but this whole group gives an outstanding performance throughout. sphinxsix, Musicophile, cambridgehank and 4 others 3 3 1 Link to comment

I completely agree; this is great top to bottom. I wish it were live rather than studio, but that's not knocking the performance. Musicophile 1 Link to comment

Popular Post jiminlogansquare
Nice mellow little jazz trio outing, very well recorded with a realistic soundstage (no artificially stereo-panned drums here). Just enough swing to keep things interesting. flkin and cambridgehank 1 1 Link to comment
davide256
"Memoirs of a Geisha" soundtrack (remastered), composed by John Williams. It's only 44khz but there's good texture, clarity, and instrumental variety with no sense of compression Regards, Dave Audio system Link to comment

Popular Post jiminlogansquare
A truly moving and super-talented performance by the composer's widow. Great music, maybe not his most well-known works but well worth checking out if you haven't heard them. The recording SQ leaves a bit to be desired. Edited to add: I ripped this from CD, and it doesn't appear to be streaming at Qobuz. Anyone who knows how to stream it, please chime in. Thanks. semente and Guidof 2 Link to comment
