Popular Post TubeLover
I realize there are some classical critics in Great Britain that consider this recording a bit "mainstream", but in my opinion, it is one of the most moving pieces of music I have ever heard. There are several well known recordings of this piece of music, and they sound different. Debut recording with Stefania Woytowicz; very good one with Zofya Kilanowicz and Antony Wit on Naxos (@austinpop); and very recent one with late Krzysztof Penderecki and Beth Gibbons (of Portishead) sphinxsix, Jud and austinpop 1 1 1 Link to comment

I checked my link again and access the complete "album" through it. Could it be one of those "regional" restrictions that is in play? Anyway, I am convinced the non-hires version is also fantastic! And if you can only access one track for now, I'm sure this will only be temporally. J. Link to comment

Sometimes there are phenomena like search for the album name and you get one track, search for the artist and you get the whole album, etc. Main listening (small home office): Main setup: Surge protector +>Isol-8 Mini sub Axis Power Strip/Isolation>QuietPC Low Noise Server>Roon (Audiolense DRC)>Stack Audio Link II>Kii Control>Kii Three (on their own electric circuit) >GIK Room Treatments. Secondary Path: Server with Audiolense RC>RPi4 or analog>Cayin iDAC6 MKII (tube mode) (XLR)>Kii Three . Bedroom: SBTouch to Cambridge Soundworks Desktop Setup. Much as I like the Zinman/Dawn Upshaw version, my favorite is still the out of print 2003 SACD of Zofia Kilanowicz with the composer himself conducting. http://lipinskisound.com/products/sacd-lrf-105-gorecki-/ The Wit is excellent too. I’m not a big fan of the Gibbons. AnotherSpin 1 My Audio Setup Link to comment
