I started listening to this Conifer (Possible NSFW photo link - certainly hard to look at but not exactly NSFW) despite overcoming some heavy visual resistance to what was about to be depicted.  Afterwards I picked up what I believe is the gold standard recording of the full Dardanus.  Which specifically held none of the threat Platée did.

That is a fun band to listen to.  The lead vocal reminds me of Bob Dylan.

Got this full 8CD box of the recent complete Beethoven cycle from Qobuz sale for €24 in 24/96. A true bargain. 

 

Won’ replace the remastered Takacs box as my personal reference but it is of very high quality throughout.  

 

And one can never have too many Beethoven quartet recordings.

LOL. No, It's always been a favorite album (it is one of the few lp's I also bought on cd). But a nice pint is a good way to enhance the experience.

Don't you think that her name's similarity to K.Kardashian has some promotional value.? 

Not as much of it as the name of this singer, that's for sure (BTW would you guys call your son James if your family name was Morrison..?)

I apologize for my ignorance but I don't really know who Kim Kardashian is except from the fact that (if I'm not mistaken) she had something to do with Formula 1. She's not a driver though, is she.?  (ok, I gueess she's into fashion or cosmetics, but I don't really want to know).

I actually also don't know a single song by Justin Bieber (he's kind of one boy - boys band and he's not related to Heinrich Ignaz Franz Bieber in any way, right.? ) or Lady Gaga for that matter. Somehow I have always been able to stay away from cultural phenomena I wasn't interested in - probably due to the fact that there are already too many such phenomena I am interested in
