I love Al Stewart, and especially how all his albums tie in history to make listening to them somewhat magical

This is one of my favorites, and I pulled it out and was wrapped in the fun of discovery once again.

I sure as all get out would not want to be Joe the Georgian. :)

Trio Zimmermann perform. In their words "neither an arrangement nor a transcription, but basically an unveiling of Bach’s score"

Currently discounted at eClassical.

I really enjoyed this.

Sounds as if it was written for string trio.

The man that hath no music in himself, nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds, is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils. The motions of his spirit are dull as night, and his affections dark as Erebus. Let no such man be trusted. Mark the music.

This is a Blue Note Records re-issue of Benny Golson‘s ‚Benny Golson and the Philadelphians‘. Compared to the original version that appeared at United Artists, the re-issue contains four bonus tracks, one of which is ‚Stablemates‘. Even though Benny Golson is not listed among the Blue Note artists, he kind of became a Blue Note leader 😀. It‘s a wonderful album!

I saw Herbie Hancock live last night with his crack band including Vinnie Colaiuta, James Genus and Lionel Loueke.

I didn't know where to look. All four musicians were incredible and seemed to be having a great time.

Herbie is not playing it safe on this tour. An outstanding concert.
