Popular Post rando
Quote He played back-up for Robert Johnson, recorded with Sonny Boy Williamson, and "cut heads" with Johnny Shines. These significant, but long overlooked, 1938 recordings by guitar wizard Calvin Frazier echo the Delta blues of Johnson and the rumble of Detroit's boogie-woogie pianists The title song can be downloaded in a 41 MB WAV from The Library of Congress site. As can many more recordings in the same archive by folklorist Alan Lomax. christopher3393 and semente 1 1 Link to comment

Popular Post sphinxsix
Read about her on @Musicophile's blog (thanks again!). I'm not in the mood for Bach today hence her 'latino' album. A very enjoyable one - IMO worth checking out if you don't know it. Musicophile and elcorso 1 1 Link to comment

Hugo9000
Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky Concerto for Violin and Orchestra Pinchas Zukerman Zubin Mehta/Israel Philharmonic Orchestra Live recording from 1984 I had this on a CBS Masterworks cassette tape in high school, then on a CD that somehow disappeared from my collection many years ago. Finally got a Sony Japan CD via amazon.de today! Also included are the Tchaikovsky Sérénade mélancolique (Opus 26), and Mélodie (Opus 42 No. 3) that accompanied the concerto on my old CD, plus the Mendelssohn concerto with Bernstein/NY Phil from 1969. rando 1 请教别人一次是5分钟的傻子,从不请教别人是一辈子的傻子 Link to comment
