Played short stretches of both albums this morning.  Without them functioning as ill suited replacements for commentary on a live car race.  I now plan to revisit them at some point in the near future to settle whether one or both lacked coherence as a complete album.  Or if the thread tying works together was expertly inserted and diaphanous.

Only just got around to listening to this.

I was reminded about it as it is shortlisted for the BBC Music Magazine awards.

Excellent playing and very enjoyable.

This time it is " album of the morning" . Want to go out cycling this morning, but is windy and wet outside (it's raining cats and dogs, actually). Listening to great music is a nice replacement.

I'm a big Mendelssohn fan, he's a completely underrated composer.

The program on this new one is very similar to Volume 7 of Blandine Verlet's previous recording of complete harpsichord works of François Couperin. But tempo on the new recording is significantly slower. So the two versions sound quite different. I'm going to pick up the new one anyway--one can't have too much Couperins or Verlet really And inspired by the above:
