A fortunate fellow, I love guitar recitals. In my search to learn more of this artist, I saw him perform on YouTube. Of course not to compare the two but I have found that YouTube, so often mindlessly inane, can be a helpful resource in discovering new music.

Thanks for his, I've enjoyed their earlier work. This seems to be an early and somewhat limited release here at this time. I love the cover art.

I know there a lot of Mozart Horn Concerto recordings out there but something quite nice about this one. Doesn't displace my all-time favorite (Barry Tuckwell's 1972 release with Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields), but a very nice modern alternative, very well recorded and very well played.

​I started with No.3 on this new release. Predictably, she's volatile and dramatic, but also plays some ravishing pianissimos. The outer movements are a bit faster than I'm used to, but they work for me. Good sound; however, the tympani and bass drum are a bit feeble.

 

I see that posting the text after the image works better!

 

Listening to both concertos now. Quite enjoyable actually. Maybe not a new reference but certainly not boring.

I have an autographed copy after seeing her live two years ago! She's very exciting, but she can get messy in the heat of the moment. Still, she's quite an artist, so enjoy!

Another in the series with Niklas Eklund. I believe this is the last of five and I'll collect them all in time. As was noted earlier in the thread, the musicianship and sound quality are excellent at a very fair price.
