I'm really enjoying the PC in G Major:

Sound quality is a bit harsh but the performances are thrilling, with a lot of slapping and kicking, in a sweet and sour manner that reminds me of Mravinsky's recordings of Tchaikovsky's 4, 5 and 6th:

To be honest I'd never heard of him before and I've just bought this CD but enjoyed listening to him playing this material.

I'd say it would be worth going if the programme is to your liking. I love listening to live music anyway.
