jiminlogansquare
I hope I won't get called on technicalities by @Piano1 or @AnotherSpin, and so realize what I say here is fraught, in the context of some recent posts in this thread. I am not a musician (although I was married to one for ten years). I think this pianist plays with an authority of style that my amateur ears enjoy. Also, yes; he was her grandfather. Popular Post jiminlogansquare
Wow. This is the most amazingly talented young singer I have heard in I don't know how many years. Samara Joy is going places. This is such solid work at every level, I can't believe she's just 21 years old. WAM, lamode and kumakuma 2 1 Link to comment

I streamed it on Qobuz after hearing a track on the radio. This is exactly why I listen to 89.3 The Current from MPR I am downloading it as I type this. It's powerful, honest, amazing, and beautiful. edit: Without a doubt, this is my Album of the Year so far. Really fine work. Although I am embarrassed to say how long it took me to figure out the album title is not “All Is On R Us Sell” AudioDoctor, christopher3393 and lamode 3 Link to comment

jiminlogansquare
In addition to this being just the sweetest, most ingratiating and skillful performance one could imagine, they managed to outdo themselves by capturing the greatest album cover photo of the year. AudioDoctor 1 Link to comment

A marvelous recording, reissued now. This was for me an amazing discovery on Qobuz. I agree heartily with your recommendation. AnotherSpin 1 Link to comment
jiminlogansquare
I have just begun the deep dive into this recording, but what I have heard so far is outstanding. An unheralded genius. Link to comment
