@cscuzzo

Thanks for recommending him. I'd never heard of him before.

I also didn't realize that the latest Cowboy Junkies album (Demons) is a collection of his songs.

Wow, I didn't know he has a new album out.

King of California and Black Jack Dave are two of favorite albums.

Alison Krauss & Union Station - Live

Then maybe some Ben Webster.

This thread is great. It's fun to see what other folks are listening to and to be reminded or music you haven't listened to in awhile.

Keep 'em coming!

I also have all Diana Kralls albums, even her Christmas album, and I hear she is about to release a new one soon. There is a single available on iTunes right now. It is a bit more bluesy than her previous albums.

This is big news. She's a national icon up her in the frozen north.

BTW, HDTracks has a sample cut from her new album available for purchase.

Just ripped this CD this morning.

What is it? I don't recognize the artwork.

I suggest everyone include the artist and album names in text above or below the image. Some day the links to the images will die but text lives forever. :)

I'll continue on this evenings theme of Miles Davis - Not an album per se but a sound track. I purchased the hi-res of this through Qobuz and it was horrible...if it wasn't upsampled, I'll eat a trumpet. Luckily this also included the redbook version as well which sounds fine. One of my favorite Miles albums...even if it is a soundtrack.

And one last before switching to holiday music 24/7:

Ray Brown: Soular Energy

Very well recorded, even better playing, 100% fun.

This album and Live At The Loa are two of my favorite Ray Brown albums. He and Gene Harris made magic together.

+1 Live is also excellent or Tsuyoshi Yamamoto album with Ray Brown!

Tsuyoshi Yamamoto is great. What's the name of the album he did with Ray Brown?

Ups, I was listening to his album, but with Ray is was Shota Osabe Piano Trio - Happy Coat of course.

I've got this. It's very enjoyable. It looks like Ray Brown and Yamamoto recorded together on the album, Smoke A Moto's Blues. Unfortunately it appears to been only released in Japan and only on vinyl. :(
