I just fell in love with this record, I am an admirer of "Friday Night in San Francisco" since more than 30 years, this just comes close.

You can see them live in the Blue Note Cafe in New York still three times this year. A live recording is available at Bandcamp, starting at 5 $, but this High Res is just stunning.

I need to wait until they will arrive in Paris ...

This record will grow with time, my first listening made me associate it  with "Cuba" from the Silos, just from a Californian songwriter that is 7 years younger than Walter Salas-Humara's masterwork. I feel it is the mastery of transfering moods into songwriting and the detail in production that gave me this mental note...

PS: The record had been on the podium of 2020's AOTY list last time I visited the HP, together with a couple of other female artists...

In case you wouldn't be aquainted to his live companion Brenda Kahn, you should check her out as well. "Ephiphany in Brooklyn" imho is a classic alt-folk album from New York in the 90s.

XRCD by JVC I think it was about 20 Euros then (double the price of standard CDs).
It is now buried with all the other hundreds of ripped CD's in heavy transport boxes down in the cellar for never be moved again ...
