Digione arrived DOA

I purchased a Digione (HW Rev 1.3) from Chicago Electronics Distributors. The unit is apparently DOA. When attached to an Rpi 4b and powered up, the unit overheats and emits a burning odor. It  is not recognized by software (PiCorePlayer). I have other Digiones which function correctly in this environment (Raspberry Pi 4b, PiCorePlayer).

 

Chicago Electronics Distributors instructed me to post this issue in this forum:
