quanghuy147
Hi everyone, I have struggling recently trying to send sound from my LG TV to SOTM streamer. I even tried to use Apple TV box and use Shairport feature on SOTM. This doesn't work because Youtube app on LG TV uses higher Shairport version than SOTM so the sound streaming stopped after 10 seconds. I am thinking of using a headphone jack to RCA cable to get the sound from TV to my preamplifier but I think the SQ will be degraded when using TV internal DAC. Any help is greatly appreciated! audiobomber
I don't know of any way to get sound from the TV into a streamer. I have my TV connected via Toslink straight into my DAC. Main System: QNAP TS-451+ NAS > Silent Angel Bonn N8 > Sonore opticalModule Deluxe v2 > Corning SMF with Finisar FTLF1318P3BTL SFPs > Uptone EtherREGEN > exaSound PlayPoint and e32 Mk-II DAC > Meitner MTR-101 Plus monoblocks > Bamberg S5-MTM sealed standmount speakers. Crown XLi 1500 powering AV123 Rocket UFW10 stereo subwoofers Upgraded power on all switches, renderer and DAC. Link to comment
quanghuy147
Thank you, my DAC doesn't have optical input. I just bought optical to coaxial converter. This way the SQ might be reduced but this might be the most convenient way to do. audiobomber 1 Link to comment
