DRHamp
I have two Allo DigiOne Signature streamers, both Running Ropieee. One work fine with no problems - the other has random, periodic audio drop outs. During the dropouts, the DAC ceases to receive signal. I have re-flashed Ropieee several times to no avail. I believe it's a failed DigiOne Signature board -- Any ideas? Link to comment
Zlone
Could also be a power issue. Try swapping power supplies between the two. Link to comment

I have done that in effect - swapping out the DigiOne Signatures - both are using the Allo Shanti dual power supplys. I moved the DigiOnes from one room to the other leaving the Shanti power supplys in place. Drop-outs followed the DigiOne Signature. Link to comment

I believe it's a failed DigiOne Signature board -- Any ideas? Is your Sig by any chance connected to your DAC through the coax digital output? I ask because i experienced a similar issue about a year ago. It took quite some time to get to the bottom of it, but in my case it turned out to be a bad on board soldering of the coax connector. After i switched to the BNC-connector the problem was solved. According to Allo support it was / is a known issue... Link to comment
DRHamp
Thank you, I am using the Coax digital connector - I will switch to the BNC connector and see if that solves it for me. Thanks for the suggestion Link to comment

Thanks for the suggestion You´re welcome. The easy and cheap way is to use a bnc-coax adapter 🙂 Link to comment
DRHamp
I have a short digital cable - RCA to DAC & BNC to DigiOne Will report results -- thanks again Link to comment
DRHamp
Ok, guess that's not the solution to my problem - just got audio drop out using the BNC connection on the DigiOne Thanks for the good suggestion though. Some additional information - full re-boot clears the problem temporarily. Link to comment
Zlone
Are you using a wired or wireless connection? I understand one works and the other doesn't, but if you are using wireless it might be interesting to hardwire the one that is failing to see if it is still has dropouts. Link to comment

Thank you -- both are hardwired. I have also tried wireless on both with good results Link to comment
DRHamp
It appears that Allo doesn’t follow this forum thread - three drop-outs in last hour - the problem continues Link to comment
DRHamp
I have received a response from Allo via my re-seller - "Allo has replied to me that there is a known issue with an IC malfunction in the Digione Signature and that they are currently working on a solution." The DigiOne Signature is being replaced. Link to comment
DRHamp
Thanks to the efforts of my reseller (PiShop.us), the DigiOne signature was replaced. I have run it non-stop for over a week now with no drop-outs - I am very happy, everything is working as it should. Thank you Ian and PiShop. Link to comment
