AudioDoctor
They almost had me willing to stick one in the family room until I saw the MQA... No electron left behind. Link to comment
charlesphoto
Took me a minute, but that is pretty damn cool. I'm not a huge fan of ESS DAC chips after trying a Matrix Mini, but that screen is dang unique. seeteeyou
That reminded me Android-based stuff like JF Digital http://www.hifi168.com/bbs/showtopic-253944-1.aspx https://product.suning.com/0070079390/12273553830.html IMHO that concept might be somewhat similar to what Logitech was doing with their Squeezebox Touch back then, obviously we could replicate it easily now https://www.facebook.com/SMHPHK/posts/1160668344374539 https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?103330-Jivelite-for-piCorePlayer/page36&p=857392#post857392 Even music servers could use a chassis like this as well https://www.macase.hk/Industrial-LCD-Case-Server-Chassis/ rando 1 Link to comment

Very curious about how this compares to Lumin or Aurender similarly priced streamers, especially in sound quality. That big touch screen is so gorgeous 🤩 Link to comment

The RS250 is an all in one streamer/amplifier for £1900 in the UK. The RS150 would be a better comparator to Lumin or Aurender - stand alone streamer/DAC @£3900. My local dealer carries HFR and the RS150 was imposing in the flesh, much larger than you’d expect from the pics. Link to comment

RS150 is 1/3 price of Lumin X1 and 1/4 price of Aurender W20SE. For the same price HFR seems to have more features (RS250 vs Lumin U1 mini/D2 or Aurender N100H). That's why I was curious about whether HFR can keep up with Lumin or Aurender in SQ. RS250 is much smaller than RS150, does that also look bigger in real life? Link to comment

Hi Chris, I can't wait to hear your thoughts about RS250. It would be great if you could compare RS250 with Lumin U1 mini solely as digital transports because I'm deciding between those two. While RS201E is cheaper but I think it's worthwhile to get RS250 just for the LPSU inside. Thanks! Tom jsvranic 1 Link to comment
