Can you imagine your world without music..?

Recommended Posts

A few seconds ago (in the history of mankind) there was no  such recorded/reproduced music.

Many people knew by heart sung popular or traditional unwritten music, some people played instruments as amateurs and others were professional singer-songmakers.

People of low and high class would entertain themselves with complex dances that involved large groups of participants.

I believe this to be the case still in rural Afghanistan today, although probably segregated (men don’t generally socialise with women in Muslim countries, or Hindu countries for that matter).

Singing should be a fundamental right, like laughing (I am reminded of a scene from The Name of the Rose which takes place in the Middle Age Europe).

Many people who swapped their analogue sources for CD have been living without music since the 1980's.

That's pretty strong 🙂 ... our local hifi guru/audio gear shop chappy absolutely loathed, despised CDs, in those early decades of them - would it have been possible to say to him that I had heard just as much really, really awful vinyl replay, without him clocking me ... I doubt it, 😉.

No. Music has been around since rock music was played on rocks.:)

I suspect that people who think that musicless is the way the world should be have much more illness than I have help. (50 years as a psychotherapist.)

That's a bit orthodox statement.. But everyone has right to his own orthodoxy..
