Help With An e-onkyo Purchase

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys, is anyone in a location authorized to purchase this album? I get the red banner on the bottom of the screen saying I can’t.

If someone can purchase the DSD / DSF 11.2 MHz version for me, I’m happy to reimburse you.

I found the album and purchased it from https://ototoy.jp/_/default/p/823041 thanks to the link from @nickwill

Yep, they are really strict.

You need Japanese form of payment and be coming from a Japanese ip address.

Have any forum members from Japan you can flag?

Sound is great, but the performance is, how do I say it, different. I'm not sure if I'm just not used to it yet or if I'll dislike it in the long run. Right now, I'm not feeling it. It's hard to beat the original, that's for sure.

Couldn't agree more.

By the way, I'm really liking the other album I bought from Ototoy yesterday:

Just piano and bass rather than the usual piano trio.

Awesome. Time to push Ototoy's dial-up download speed to the limit again :~)

You can bypass that restriction easily using VPNgate. If you use a big VPN the site will have most likely already blacklisted the IP. VPNgate essentially is  bunch of public university severs in Japan.

You only need to use the VPN too to make the purchase, they don’t restrict users outside Japan from downloading content they already purchased either, so it won’t take forever to download files.

I wrote a blog post on this a couple years back, same instructions still apply.
