Arun Raj
Hi All, I have purchased an Allo Boss2 DAC Acrylic version recently. The DAC is awesome and I am using moOde OS as its player. But the only issue I face is that the player not playing any DSD files in their native state, if I changed the settings to DoP, the player starts to play files up to DSD 64. Why is that? Did I miss any step in the process? Also, How can I play DSD files above 64 (DSD 256 or DSD 512..etc)? Link to comment

It’s the hardware connection type limit … any HAT do have that constraint. If you go for a usb connection you’ll be able to play native dsd at any resolution. With my rpi4 and a Khadas Tone Board usb connected I can play native dsd up to DSD512 that’s the limit of the KTB Arun Raj 1 Stefano My audio system Link to comment
Arun Raj
Ok, Thanks. May I know how KTB sounds compaire with Boss 2, oru any HAT dac. Link to comment
stefano_mbp
I’ve not compared them as I don’t own any hat dac, anyway the KTB is really a very fine dac and can compete with much more expensive dacs. Stefano My audio system Link to comment
