antastik
Shanti's DC cables are quite long: should I coil them or not? I fear coiling them would expose them to pick up induced currents. Thank you Link to comment

Figure 8 crosses over at right angles, may not look neat, but since DC at these currents is pretty small, the field is not going to be a a problem even if you coil. Larger the loop the better, just for less mechanical stress, something like 10-15cm is OK. Different if you had an AC power draw of 600A right next to the DC cables, then, but 99.9% of hi fi installs don't experience this level. AS Profile Equipment List Say NO to MQA Link to comment
antastik
I am not concerned about self induction, because it is dc. I am wondering about induction from what's around Link to comment
